The disable avatars/sigs mod has been lost during the upgrade of the forum. This means that we need to tone down the avatars and sigs for a little while.
What's NSFW? Anything you wouldnt want a female co-worker or your boss seeing on your screen.

Sorry, guys. I've been busy moving and getting settled in a new house. With being out-of-town every weekend until my housewarming party in a few weeks and trying to get things ready for the party, I've not been able to keep up with things around here lately.
I'll see if I can get the hide avatars mod back in tonight. The other mods will be re-installed within a week. My apologies.

I don't work in an office setting, and that might be the reason, but I have never understood the "work safe" thing. If you're so worried about what a co-worker may or may not see why are you even on such sites to begin with?

Uh, 'cause the content of the site is poker, which wouldn't be much of a problem - just that there happens to be a lot of soft porn too. Thankfully, there's usually a way to get the poker content without the porn which kinda makes it a non-issue, eh?

Well if you wanna just read up on some poker, which is okay and no one would mind, and you got boobs and butts all over the screen and someone sees that, then there's a problem.

That's not the issue. A lot of people don't want to see boobs and butts at work, even out of the corner of their eye. And if they do see 'em out of the corner of their eye and you're to blame, you can be in a huge heap of disciplinary action.

Hmmm... Now that I've checked on it, the hide/show avatars mod was actually the first one I put back in. I wonder why it's not working properly.

It's also annoying when people put "dodgy stuff" in their signature, Like Corey for example a few lines up. I disable avatars and the like because of their content, but I like to keep signatures enabled because more often than not they contain useful information (bankroll/targets/skill level/sites you play on/levels, etc).
Corey - why the need to put pictures like that on your signature? If you want to perv at that kind of thing, fine - keep it on your hard-drive. If somebody else wants to perv at something like that, they can google it. Why the need to force it on to people on a _poker forum_.
I view the site at home, but I have a wife and 3 kids. None of whom mind me reading a poker site, but all of whom object to such images. There is just no need for it at all.

It's amazing that you were unable to read more than the first line of my post, because by the time you get to the end of the second line, this question is answered.
Guys - if you insist on putting soft porn in your signatures, fair enough I can't stop it. But why not just keep it to yourself, if others want to look, there are plenty non-poker websites out there that they can browse.

UPDATE: Eric and I are still trying to figure out why the Hide/Show Avatars/Sigs mod isn't working. All the options are in place, but the user selections in Profile don't seem to take when submitting the change.
In the meantime, I can manually change your setting in the database.
WHO WANTS TO SEE NO AVATARS AND SIGS?
Tell me here in this thread and I'll switch them off for you individually.

I look at work and my manager sits next to me. He doesn't mind if I go on a poker message board for a little bit each day as long as he or anybody else doesn't see anything blatent. But I work with many women and older people that won't appreciate some of the pics on here. I have images turned off and therefore cannot view any posts that show card images. I can't even see where the "quote" button is but I know where to click. Anyway, I know gambling and porn go together (somehow?) so I'll just deal with the no card images.
