Okay guys, look.

This is how i saw this thread in a nutshell.
1. AP brings up that he wants to take adderall.
2. Posters encourage him not to take it.
3. AP rebukes.
4. DaNuts wigs out at AP's ignorance about how bad adderall is and how he shouldn't abuse prescription drugs
5. AP wigs out back, even harder than Danuts.
6. Things blow way out of proportion.
7. AP apologizes, pretty sincere.
8. People still call him an idiot
9. AP posts how his experience with it went (imo legitimate, i felt like he was going to there's nothing wrong with this).
10. People wig out at his ignorance again, DaNuts makes a nicer post than his last one but still is very stimulating.
11. Everyone and their mom starts to make random comments, repeating other posts just to get in to call AP a dumbass (this may not be the case but this is how it seemed).

I think AP's issue was dealt with horribly. You don't have to wig out at a guy because he wants to do something you think/is retarded. SERIOUSLY guys, its like everyone feels like when they do something retarded that somehow they're right about it, and when aislephive does it's wrong.

This isn't a debate about whether it's right or wrong, this thread isnt that, you can make another one if you want to debate it.

People in general seem to think that yelling at someone, calling them a dumbass, and making them cry will make them change. Guess what? It's not new to me that they won't.... in fact, i have never met anyone in my entire life who didn't become more solid in their view/ more angrily debating about it when they were yelled at.
I'm sorry to bring this up but this just makes me upset because of the killer at VT. You watch his video and hear what he says and you see that he 100% believes it? Why? Well he kinda implies it: people thought he was retarded, called him a dumbass his whole life. And guess what? He became so stuck in some radical view that he was "right" and other people were "wrong." The only way he saw to prove it was killing everyone. IN NO WAY AM I IMPLYING THAT THIS IS ANYONE AT VT'S FAULT SO PLEASE DONT TAKE IT THAT WAY.

I'm posting this because our communication at this website has got to improve. I mean i really don't think a lot of you had AP's best interests in mind, some just wanted to make some flamish post to sound cool. DaNuts I felt like really had AP's best interest but expressed it in a really bad way.

No one HAD to make a berating post. To say that there wasn't another way to get their point across is straight up ignorance IMO. I mean just look at the results? The thread became a straight flame and argument fest.

I hope we can not have a ridiculous thread like that anymore,

It's a shame the thread was locked because I think it's an important issue. With so many people self medicating with drugs that aren't prescribed to them I think debate is appropriate. Hopefully the moderators with consider unlocking it.

As far as this thread goes, I never "wigged out." I wasn't offended by anything that was said. It's perfectly fine for people to have differing opinions. I can't speak for others, but I don't need someone trying to step in and tell me that I need to agree with someone for the sake of getting along. There are more important issues than me getting emotinally involved in something like this. I was simply debating.

Edit: In the commune that is, I'm sure he has a lot of good poker threads to start still.
