I've seen that damn Negreanu "So why PokerStars?" commercial an ungodly amount of times. It's annoying as hell, but I noticed in one of the shots he is playing online poker on this laptop and is using some weird device on his finger. I thought it looked pretty neat so I bought one. This thing friggin' rocks. Took a bit to get use to the control but now I love it. Here is where I bought it from, $17 shipped:

I'd imagine there are probably better ones out there, this feels kinda light and I think it would be better strapped to my hand, but it's still sexy.

It does what a mouse does, except you can hold it in your hand?

the problem is for the first one youd have to put the thing down to type anything
the problem with the second one is its expensive
the problem with the third (the real common one if you GIS) is that it apparently sucks.

the thing is though, there are a lot of times when i'm on the computer that i'm predominantly just surfing/reading things, so for those times it wouldn't really be a big inconvenience to use it.

the other big problem with the first one is no scroll wheel.

you have to take your hand away from the mouse anyway when you type, so it's not that bad really. the finger mouse allows you to use it wherever you want, when you need to type just drop it on your desk/lap in front of your keyboard and all is good.
EDIT: Euhpo, you're right about the scroll wheel, not having one of those would suck.

the finger mouse sucks. I bought one about year and a half ago and it doesnt work very well, the ball that you use to scroll sucks and it is not optical. Dont buy one IMO

it doesn't have a scroll wheel but it has a button you press on the front that changes the ball to scrolling mode, if that makes sense.
trik you're crazzEEE, i love this thing. it took me a while to get use to the sensitivity/response of the ball but now i love it. i wouldn't recommend it for heavy usage or whatever but just chillaxin' it's lovely.

Clicking the left and right mouse buttons is very easy to do and comfortable while doing so however using the scroll wheel is quite a challenge. I am a 6'2" male and have what I consider to be normal sized hands for a male of my height and yet I had quite a bit of trouble reaching the scroll wheel and it was near impossible to scroll without clicking the left or right mouse buttons.
Nevermind.

i was trying to use it multitabling. It worked great for a week or 2 and then started crapping out on me. For a little use here and there it might be ok but it could NEVER replace a good reg mouse.

Is this that moment where it dawns on you the failed Wrizz project can be easily converted into a specialty dog treat project and you move on to millions?

Bump
Don't get the Perific for poker. It's not fast/accurate enough to multitable with. I'm still using it for surfing though.
