Hey guys,
When I was going to college I was really into digital cinema, whch is the basic major for a director/film maker. During my years I made some various short films (some of which I lost) but I recently found my DVD Portfolio that I had to turn in for the beginner's course. On this DVD, it documents the six projects I had to make for the class using different styles/techniques for each one. I ripped the videos from the DVD and hosted them on You Tube for now. If you are interested in viewing them or giving any feedback, I would appreciate it:

The videos range from 2 - 5 mins long, and if you don't have the time to watch them all, my favorite is easily "Life Turned Around." I had so much fun shooting and editing that movie.
I would be interested in knowing if any other FTRer is/was interested in directing, filming, or editing. I absolutely loved it and am starting to get back into short film making. I never really got a set career or major while I was in college, which is part of the reason I dropped, but if I were to ever go back I would definitely pursue this. I would love to be a writer and/or director for cinema and major pictures. Hope you guys like!

my friends and I loved loved loved making movies when we were in high school.
We all got pretty proficient at Premiere Pro, converting 60i into 24p, color grading in AE, color grading using Magic Bullet, all that other good stuff.

just watched life turned around
pretty cool =D
good masking and/or walking backwards for the shots.
the only thing that really bothered me was the cut at 20 seconds in. I think that the change in viewpoint at 17 seconds in shouldve just been from the angle from 20 seconds in.

That's awesome. Since I have a pc and not a mac I use premiere as well. My and some friends worked on a dvd a while back and I used a lot of after effects as well for enhancements. I never got too much into special effects or anything though past basic filters/elements.

Thanks! No masking or anything, just my friend (now business partner) and gf walking backwards.
To be honest I have NEVER noticed that cut, and I have watched this 20+ times. Now that you pointed it out, it drives me bat shit crazy. I will definitely have to edit it out, but I currently don't have premiere installed.

I'm personally not into creating videos/films much, but roughly three quarters of my friends are REALLY into it (i.e. they graduated college with film degrees, ran a pretty large and successful film festival for 3 years, and have made several short films themselves). So just by association I get a lot of exposure to all aspects of film making and have become kind of interested in it, but that's the extent of it for me.
