Ok so I have this riff that I've played for a couple different drummers and they both are totally stumped. One actually told me that there is no time signature for it which I thought was kinda impossible. If any of you are drummers and would like to try to come up with something to play with it, record it, and send it back that would be awesome. I guess just pm me for the .mp3 file of it. Laters...
PS - I'm a guitar player btw

Prozach yes it is
Martin, the time signature changes in the middle quite a bit which is probs what's putting the drummers off. I'll write something and paste the image of what I write on here. I'm not exactly sober so it may take some time lol

better. Im going to try recording that now. Obviously it's not the most inspirational drum beat ever but it's something to build on. Tell your drummer to play on the ride for the first 30 secs/16 bars or whatever and move to the hi hat for the more damped part (dunno guitar terminology). If drummer could still get in the open hi-hat on beat 2 in the first bit while on the ride it would sound awesome.

Badgers, is that 1/4 note break in beat one of bar 5 supposed to be there? Played around with it a bit and it sounds a little weird to my ears. I'm not that great at reading music though, so I might be reading it wrong.

have you played it along with the track? It's really wierd in isolation but the guitar part is really syncopated so I think it fits in nicely. I think another hi-hat beat would work fine there though this is just what i came up with.
martin sorry ive been really busy the past couple of days ill do the recordin now.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
