Brooklyn or Philly style pizza?
According to the Pizza Hut commerical, we should be at each other throats over the subject. Let's go!

Chicago is great, but I have to be in the mood for it. Always room for Brooklyn.

im Canadian, we havent adopted americas love of fast food to the degree you guys have.
It always amazes me about how many fat people are in america, i dont have nothing againts the average overweight guy or gal they are nice people im talking about the hambeasts. And theres so many of them!
And I also love going into fast food joints (we have pizza hut, kfc etc here, alot fo the stuff you guys have. But we dont ahve IHOP (FUCK. I hate the comercials. Awesome papa johns pizzas .. they arent here)
Anyone who is Canadian knows the pain of seeing american fast food commercials.. we get the budget end of their menus.
And thin crust is better, its too hard to get a good deep dish around here.

I have never eaten pizza in my life.
I'd probably like it though. I should try it out one day.

You show one of those chicago 'pizza' montrosities to an Italian and he'd laugh/beat you out of town. same goes for any deep pan nonsense

Chain pizza places should be banned. The best pizza is made from some short italian guy flipping dough that was made fresh by his wife in the back room. The closest I will ever get to "Chicago Style" is a sicilian slice.
The key to great pizza (and bagels) is the water used to make the dough. This is why NY (not just NYC, but also the burbs) has some of the best pizza - Joe's, John's, Patsy's, La Scala, Nick's, etc. As to the poll - thin, foldable.
Growing up, for $1, you could get a slice and a fountain soda for 75c and use the quarter change to play Donkey Kong or Pacman. The only toppings were sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and meatball, and if you asked for one of them you got the evil eye from the wife.

pizza aficionados are missing a key point here. Trying to nail down the best pizza would require an FTR commune 100x as big! We gotta start the scope wide enough for everyone to get in here. So lets focus on common pizza joints and pizza styles.

Ok. I opt for thin, foldable which you typically get in a neighborhood-type pizzeria vs chain (ala Pizza Hut).

Most definitely Chicago style. But I'm biased since I used to live in Chicago. You almost have to be devoted to Chicago pizza, the Cubs and Da Bears if you're gonna live there and most people are. Maybe it's an acquired taste since it is so regional and thin slice pizza is just about everywhere.
Ginos & Lou Malnatis are amazing. I have even had them flown into LA and Oklahoma. Damn good stuff!

I am currently in ontario, but used to live in Vancouver and they were plentiful there. Haven't seen one in Ontario yet, which is quite disappointing.

Rolled up pizzas are great on the go.... so they need to be thin.
But if I'm sitting to eat then deeper is better
