See, now if they just went ahead and assaulted the police officer. They'd only be looking at community service and a $1.00 dollar fine. God I love the legal system.

Ridiculous. Cops get such special treatment when it comes to minor things.

I'm not generally a huge fans of cops but when you have kids doing stupid bullshit like that I am. They shouldnt get 20 years but they should get the living shit scared out of em and believe they are getting 20 years. Dumb asses. It is pretty funny though lol!!!!!!!!

See now if he was a firefighter. He would have gotten his drink and food for free. And spit free.

See. When a cop shows up. It's usually to bust your balls. And give you a ticket.

When a firefighter shows up. It's to find out how you busted your balls. And give you an icepack.

Major things too. This is something I have noticed. Maybe others can help me out.

According to the news. A cop has never died because of his own mistake.

Example: A motorcycle cop skidded and died on a hwy in Kansas City. It was terrible. Then a couple of days later, the Dept of Trans had an investigation to find out why he slipped.

After a couple of weeks they determined that stagnant water on the hwy formed a very rare slippery chemical, it was this chemical that was to blame, the cop obviously did nothing wrong.

The DOT I'm sure spent tens of thousands to investigate and fix this rare slippery chemical. I'm sure not a penny of it would have been spent if it had been anyone other than a cop.

It also leads me to question if they looked for an excuse. I remember thinking to myself that it hadn't rained recently. I also remember the Kansas City DOT Commisioner (or whatever his title is) said he traveled that stretch of hwy everyday to work and he never noticed any problems. Is it possible that they made up this chemical to settle the nerves of the public? Because what would happen if we learned that a cop died because me made an accident? The universe would implode!

Sorry, just my rant. But if anyone has ever heard of a cop dying on the job because he made a mistake or did something stupid, tell me. I have a bet going on with a friend.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Accidental Police Deaths

Check this article out. Alot of Emergency Responders don't drive with due regard of the law.

As bad as it may sound. My motto is just because you have an emergency, dosen't mean I have an emergency. What good am I to you if I don't make it to your home in one piece?

20 years? not a chance! You can rob a bank, rape and kill several women, burn down your bosses house, and sell cocaine. For any of those crimes you will be out in less than 20 years.

Cop or not doesnt matter. Fire the punks, fine them and send them back to high school
Is that guy still part of the forum??

I don't want to tread on dangerous ground here, but when cops die it is often glorified. For example, the label "cop-killer" is pretty much used to make it seem as if someone who kills a cop is worse than someone who kills anyone else.

But I'll stop there, I don't have anything against cops, it's mainly a media issue to begin with.

Texas... Enough said.

In terms of "due process" that is the most backward state I can think of.
In Richmond (city next to Vancouver) A cop was killed by 2 street racers; both of the racers fled, were caught, and charged with... get this... Criminal negligence and some other dangerous driving offenses, it's just one extreme to the other.

If they are handing out jail terms for fucking with customers, I would never get out of prison.
