I'm not so much trying to kill the tourney as waiting for it to produce some value plays. Got to do something in the first round, though.
Went with these for a contest I'm in, and will play at least 2 for 1-2 u.

Pitt -5.5
BC -7.5
Texas -15
Arkansas -4

Probably Pitt and Ark for 1.5 u.

I thought I really liked Zona, because I really don't think that WI can keep up with a team that can run AT ALL...but, the line (at least last night) was very strange. Pinnacle had Zona giving a point, but they were even on the ML. Also, WI was about a 20% favorite on the spread play (4/5 to even), so even though my handicapping went to AZ, I'm going to lay off because of the late money WI is taking.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of spread plays in the beginning of the tourney, although I do think there are a couple good ones out there. The lines on Kansas and Arkansas -- IMO -- are waaay too small, most likely giving credence to the earlier Bucknell/Kansas game, and Bradley's run through the MVC (whoopie).

Normally in the first round, I'll set up parlays (mostly on the ML) with big schools facing smaller schools that they have outsized. It's always worked for me in the past. This year, I'm looking at Kansas, Illinois, and Florida as teams that I just can't see as getting beat. A parlay on those games straight up pays even money. I also really like Lsu> Iona -- because Glen "Big Baby" Davis is a flat out monster. Imagine Shaq with a touch shot.

Good luck, y'all.

Best,
EW

Like the Plays EW. GL.
I like the 'Big Baby' too, but he wasn't looking too hot against Florida's Joakim Noah in the SEC tourney. I guess Noah's a tough matchup because he's so quick and skilled (one reason I like Fla to sweet 16 at least).
At any rate, I hope Davis gets a chance to Sheldon Williams for lunch in the Atlanta semifinals.

Not too shabby B. I really like a few games this weekend.
If the lines stay close to where they've opened, got to like:
UCLA
Florida
Texas (fading WVU hasn't worked for me yet, nor has hitting Texas as a fav, but this should be the one)

oh ya, don't forget Memphis.

I'd have to say Memphis this week. Time for Bradley to say good night, and I think Memphis matches up the right ways with them.

I will also consider playing the ML on LSU over Duke. I think Big Baby could potentially give them fits...

Best,
