I dont know who it was (gabe?) but someone on FTR told me they had a dvd with a 100 1-minute clips of family guy (or some comedy show). I need a dvd like this ASAP, anyone know where I might be able to find something like this. Needs to be exactly 1-minute clips.
I am willing to offer a reward to someone who can help me with this.

I could make you a DVD like this relatively easily, if it's for a good cause.

my friend had a dvd, and it was 60 minutes.
it is for a good cause fortune, a power hour! after every clip you watch you take a shot of beer. its alot more fun to watch family guy clips in between the time than watching the timer get to the next minute.
arkana, i have no idea where he got it from.

Can you get me a copy, name your price. It needs to arrive at my address in London before the 8th of December.
Fortune 500 if you want to create a DVD like this with family guy\simpsons\type clips (but they have to be one minute clips, 60 is fine but 100 clips would be better) I am willing to pay for it. Name your price.

I have another brilliant idea, if gabe doesn't want to help me out then people can post links to clips that are 1-2 minutes long and Fortune (if he wants) or I can have a go at editing and compiling all these clips onto a DVD which we can then sell copies of. How does that sound? I have faith in FTR...

That is the best idea ever! I don't believe I havnt heard of it being done before. I have played centurian where you do 1 shot of beer a minuite for 100 minutes, that was rough; but the family guy bit is inspired!
BTW i didn't make 100 its very tough, much sickness!

Try playing it with the rule that you are allowed to drink between shots from your beer and when one guy's beer is finished the others need to down the rest of theirs. Quickly turns into a massacre because there is always someone who wants to set the pace.

If people want to start sending me Clips (One minute,) I will compile them and send them to you for the cost of postage and the blank DVD. Just blast me with links on my PM box. I don't have time to hand edit everything to 1 minute.

How difficult would it be to add a drink screen in between each clip that displays the number of minutes (drinks) elapsed? (and randomising content)

I could do the drink screen...
Randomizing might be beyond me... I'll do a little research and see what I can pull up.

This one would be perfect for clip #100:

Is there a way to save clips from google video?

I believe selling a compilation of family guy clips as a drinking game would be copyright infringment. Sounds like a fun game though.

Kick ass. Power hours are a lot of fun (even when just staring at a timer). It always seems to provide the perfect amount of drunkeness too.

Let's get the 100 clips together. Do they have to be 1 minute precisely?
I don't intend to SELL this precisely for copyright reasons. If we can get webspace or some sort of system up, sure.

Technically they have to be exactly one minute, but I think having 100 clips (or 60 clips) with lengths between 45secs and say 2mins which add up to 100 minutes (or 60 minutes) would be fine. Sometimes you have to drink faster and sometimes slower, breaks the monotone...
Fortune500 what software do you use to write the DVDs? I have been thinking of buying the family guy DVDs and making my own clips but obviously I wont have enough time to get the clips to you and for you to get the DVD back to me.
Did you find out anything about the random ordering? Do you have any idea how you would be able to select different modes, ie a power hour (60 minutes) or century club (100 minutes)?

Just my 2c... and its probably getting overcomplicated here but... you know that family guy episode where his toy company get bought by a cigarette company, and they show a grainy black and white clip of a guy called Jerry doing subliminal advertising for smoking...
"Smoke..."
Now, if you took that clip, and recorded yourself saying "Drink..." and mixed the two together in a sort of audiovisual cocktail... then you could put one of those between each minute long clip.
Would be ace.
"Are ya smoking yet?"

I found a way of getting them into .plv format, some media players support that and I am sure you can find a way of converting these into other formats.

I'm gonna do this. Random ain't happening. I found software that will do it, but it's out of my "drinking game price range."
Gonna mix in Family Guy, Simpsons, ATHF, maybe some Chappelle Show. I'll start with a 60 minute version.

Being the FTR humanitarian, I will only officially charge postage and DVD costs for it.
Though if anyone WANTED to make a charitable contribution to the Fortune500 Bankroll Fund Of America, I probably wouldn't refuse it.
I think we should develop an FTR Themed Drinking game.

Speaking of drinking games, we made a kickass one in college using Mario Party on the N64.
The rules were basically:
Drink after rolling your dice, drinking the number of times that you roll (i.e. you roll a 5 and you drink 5 times)
Drink 5 times every time you lose a challenge, winner doesn't drink
Drink 5 (or 10?) every time someone else gets a star
The more you play, the more drunk you get. The more drunk you get, the more fun and difficult it is to play.

I found a power hour plugin for winamp (changes the song every minute). Not sure if i will be doing my own DVD anymore but I did find a lot of really funny beer ads to mix with other clips (could have a double drink every time its a beer ad). Just thought I would share the idea if anyone else is interested in making their own.

I am working on this, but it takes a while. I'm ripping the clips from DVD, so the requisite conversion takes some time.

Can't Winamp or Media Player or something like that randomize video clips?
Edit: Just tested with WinAmp, and it can.

Oh my God! I know the best drinking game ever! Not only do you get totally trashed but it's to one of the greatest songs of all time. Put on "Roxanne" by the Police and every time you hear the word "Roxanne" or "put on a red light" you take a drink. Pretty cool huh? Now go out and tell all your friends and they'll ordain you as the coolest guy alive.
