Is there a website we can use to automate this? I'd be down...

Squares are $20 each, and you can buy up to 4 squares. Square placement, as well as the numbering on the side and top of the grid will be created by random.org from 3 different people so things are fair. I'll keep a running talley of who has squares booked, and how many are left. At the end, this list will serve as the master to match up with the random 100 number sequence.

Payouts will be $250 each for 1st and 3rd quarter, $500 for halftime, and $1k for the final score. If you dont know how this works, look here: http://www.runyourpool.com/super-bowl-squares.cfm

We'll need a reputable escrow for $2k worth of action. It would be nice to keep it to 1 escrow only.

    Bode - 4
    Boog690 - 4
    Roco415 - 2
    Meeloche - 4
    Alexos - 4
    gmml - 4
    ravageur - 4
    kingnat - 3

    71 squares remaining

i might be willing to set this up if we have enough interest, so post how many squares, up to a max of 4, you would want at $25/per, and if we have decent interest i will set one up this weekend.

yeah i think on 2+2 they used random.org or something to assign the squares, im down for 25$ square...id rather not be the one to hold the money though if anyone else is interested in running it.

i can set up the pool, and we would need someone to escrow also. Actually, $20 squares would work better so that payouts are $250 for 1st quarter, $500 for halftime, $250 for 3rd quarter and $1k for the final score.

or you could do it a different way, the way ive seen it done is like all the money is in a pool $250/sq for example...every score change gets 900$ and what ever is remaining gets the remainder...

so for example who ever had 0-0 would get 900 right off the bat, then if u have 6-0 and the team gets td u get 900 and then who has 7-0 they get 900 for the extra pt....now if the score stays at 7-0 the whole game for final that guy gets all of the monies remaining...you could have 1 score change, you could have 15...

let me know which way you prefer,
    Roco415.

i personally would like the more traditional scores at the end of the quarters. that way seems too confusing, but maybe i'm not getting it.

I like the standard 1st, half, 3rd, final. I'd be in for four squares. If we don't garner up enough interest, I'm sure I can sell some to a few friends (if needed, obviously).

That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

Also, I'd obviously prefer it if a person NOT taking part in FTR's pool does the random numbers.

totally fine with that, and im sure that someone like xianti or staxx or someone else wouldnt mind usuing the rng to assign the participants to the squares

its really easy to get everthing random. just have someone random.org a list of 100, and 2 separate people do the same for 0-9.

Sure I'll buy 4. Even better if it's random, i'll actually have a chance at winning.

yeh the whole purpose is you dont get to pick your square because some are statistically more likely to occur.

ex: 2/2 is the worst while 7/0, 0/7 are the best
    Roco415.

Roco, change the thread title to "oficial superbowl squares signup" or something so it gets some traffic

If you're gonna make it official, you obviously have to put three asterisks at the beginning and at the end. Something like: ***OFFICIAL SUPER BOWL SQUARES SIGNUP***

I wouldn't mind rilla holding it. I mean, he IS the mod of this forum. He might as well do SOMETHING to help us out.

we will find someone to escrow. There's no need to send money until we see how much interest we have anyway.

I locked them so your not chasing postings all over the forums and will remove them when you get your responses. We don't normally allow the cross postings but it's understood here because of the time sensitive nature.

stars is fine as the primary, and if a few people can only do FTP i can escrow them or we can find someone else.

BUT BEFORE WE CANT ESCROW ANYTHING WE NEED FTR TO QUIT BEING SO BUSTO AND SNATCH UP THE REST OF THESE SQUARES!!! SERIOUSLY, ITS ONLY $20!!!!

pretty pathetic. i was even going to suggest we do $10/square and can buy a max of 8, but even then we can only fill a little over half.

could we fill it at $10/square w/ a max of 10? i would be willing to get $100 worth of squares any way we run it.

we would fill out ~70 squares with the people on the list right now assuming they will bet the same amount of $$ on $10 squares as they would on $20 squares. Any chance we can fill up 30 more $10 squares by tomorrow?

Max of 10 squares per person. Payouts would be $125 for 1st and 3rd quarter, $250 for halftime, and $500 for final score. If we cant pick up an extra $300 worth of squares by tomorrow afternoon i guess we will just call it quits.
