Can't tell exactly what bike the guy is riding in the "chase" video, and not sure what sport touring the cop is riding, but a modern sport bike vs a sport touring is simply no contest. The sport bike is probably about 3/5 the weight of the sport touring bike, and that's not taking into account all the extra equipment the cop has bolted on there. And the horsepower numbers could be anywhere from like 1.1x to 2x. That being said, that cop's low speed maneuvers are amazing, he's got crazy skills.

There are probably law restrictions involving motorcycle chases.

I know in NC, city cops (atleast in my city) and Sheriffs won't chase you. But a State Trooper has the authority to give it the ole college try and attempt to pit manuever them.

Heard a rumor bike cops aren't allowed to pursue fleeing vehicles either.

Might just be here though.
