ok im kinda of confused on this...
1. isnt online poker already illegal anyways? so what are they voting on, to actually enforce it?
2. if the senate passes this are we seriously gonna not be able to play online poker in the US?

so we wouldnt be able to get our money out once they start enforcing it? actually i guess you could get a check...
so wouldnt that mean we would just have to keep our bankroll in the site(s) we are at when they enforce it and just get checks from the poker site but no depositing?

I am not sure about the specifics but checks are mentioned in the bill, so there might be some legislation against your idea.

heres the bill, read from page 213 on
http://www.rules.house.gov/109_2nd/t...43_portscr.pdf
they want to block EFTs, credit cards, ISPs, and also establish a commission with an anual report about money laundering via internet gambling.

nope i looked at the actual wording of this bill, it makes any sort of money changing hands illegal, including checks, money transfer business (neteller and such), EFT. It also talks about isp actually blocking access to sites, crazy right. And carries fines and up to 5 years in jail. ....wow...i really feel like a sheep right now.

Isnt that crazy?? Blocking ISPs? That is what the do in communist China. This is a horrible precedent (president too lol).
If i werent married and had obligations i would move to europe or somewhere for a couple of years. This country is getting pretty fascist, anti immigrant, anti gambling, closing borders. Stomping on minority rights/minority party.

well maybe bush plays online poker and will veto? or the sumpreme court rules it unconstitutional... which it really is, sneaking it on to a mexican border bill.
