I had a blog here last year, showing me struggles with all the beginner things such as BR management, disciplines etc...
But now, after over 300K hands at 25/50/100/200NL it has become painfully clear that I need to start over again, and re-learn.
I got way to comfortable at 25NL. I focused heavily on table selection/seating, had a huge buddy list, and played only 2 tables. This was easy pickings, running around 5bb/100 over 50K hands playing very nitty.
I could play nitty because I didnt have to try anything else, why bother when I was winning so easily.
Well, then came my stabs at the next levels. My winrate went below 0 in most cases, but my bonuses/RB kept me afloat. Now, after over 300K hands Ive decided to go back to 25NL with the focus on beating it with the same type of stratedies i will need to be successful at 50 and 100 NL.
Below are graphs of my entire poker play, showing quite clearly that I can beat 25NL, but cannot beat anything higher than that.
I know my faults, Im way to nitty. I havent focused on stealing, EV, pot control etc.. nearly enough to be successful at those limits, reason being I just didnt have to with 25NL being soooo easy.
So, my immediate goals are once again...
2 tables @ 25NL.
Focus on improving my game to prepare for 50NL.
My winrates were:
25NL - 4.88BB/100 over 50K
50NL/100NL - just below Zero over about 175K (profited from bonuses/RB)
200NL - 2.5BB/100 over 20K
pretty much safe to say I was a 16/10 nit through all of it.
had a WR of over 5BB/100 at 100Nl until i hit a huge DS and tilted it all away.
Graphs:
25/50/100 NL (Shown in $$)

25/50/100 NL (Shown in BB)

25NL Only (Shown in $$)

50NL Only (Shown in $$)

100NL Only (Shown in $$)

On a good note, in my other Blog i started off behind 500 or over $1000 or somthing, and had got into the green before I stopped updating it.
To date, I am in the green about a few thousand, but the problem is I should be much higher after 3ooK hands

You must remember that most guys at 100NL and 200NL have been NITS themselves in the past (most probably). They know your strategy and exploit it maximally.
Against these thinking players we need to think a little deeper and try to always be one step ahead.
If you are playing on sites where people use HUD you need to use your own stats to your advantage.
On sites where HUD is unavailable I would be very surprised if a NITTY approach was not profitable.

well April is going to be interesting.
I've come to the conclusion that my attempts to improve my game have infact screwed my game. I was a consistant winning player last year at this time, but now have become high variance break even more or less.
i keep focusing way too much on increasing my steal att, playing more hands, 3betting more, plugging leaks etc... for so long ive forgotton how to play my game.
I am using April to go back to my nitty low variance style, and will re-evaluate once my roll is at 4K.
once im there, i may look into coaching at 50nl and stay there until someone tells me exactly what I NEED to change about my game to move up to 100NL.
When i moved up in the past, i think it was at the same time to which i was changing my game but im not sure.
Overall , I need to get back to a point where I am comforatble, winning, and consistant.
Im even more vulnerable to tilt right now then I was a year ago.
as far as I am concerned, i can have several leaks and still be beating 50Nl quite easily.
If I can get back to my 4-5BB/100 at 50NL, i may even try the same style at 100 NL. I know I will be exploited more, but as long as I can keep a decent winrate and slowly plug one leak at a time I will be fine.

When you say nitty, as in 16/10...you're talking 6-max right?
