Started in august 2005. I've made about 25K in 2006, and maybe 2K more from the last few months of 2005 when I sucked.

That is very surprising to me...I'd figure you had made more since you are playing higher stakes, 6-max(which apparently is gold), and better than me.
As for my answer...Just under 100k.

1) 500 BB downswing at 30/60 and 15/30 at end of last year
+
2) lack of hands first 6 months of this year
+
3) 4 consecutive losing weeks in august
+
4) Switching to NL, causing me to slum it a little, including 21 buyin downswing at 200 NL last weekend (which i was over 100k before that happened)
+
Most importantly:
5) I'm still in school, I graduate in December, unlike you where its been over a year. 16 hours in spring, 6 in summer, and 18 in this fall, really disables my ability to focus remain a constant schedule, and play my share of hands.
I've got no excuses, most of the past 2 months have been bad play and some variance. If you add up my June and July (where I had no school, for the most part), they equate to 1/2 of my yearly income. Also, I've sacrificed making money this year for the most part for the intent of increasing my skill level. Such as, I can kill the 100 NL tablings 6-8 tabling more than I can beat the 200 NL games at this time. But really, that doesn't do me any good and I have the BR so I might as well stick it out until I eventually crush the 200 NL games. I can't have this attitude once I graduate as then I will be forced to make as much as possible with little risk. Which means not moving up limits as fast as I could be.

I've cashed out close to 10k (including casino whorings). 2-3 months ago cashed down to $1000. Started playing better poker. Since built that up to little over $3000.

Gabe is right, the posters in this thread are a self-selected sample, so there's a strong bias towards people in the black.
Also, remember that not everyone took an initial $50 or so and started winning. I lost over $400 before I started winning, and I have an acquaintance who was down $1500 before he started winning. Now overall he's in the black. I'm sure it's a pretty common occurance to lose a decent initial investment before winning. My point is don't get discouraged.

Yeah I definitely dropped over 500$ before I started building my BR. I think I've made about 24K since I started less than a year ago but hard to say since I live off my roll and make regular cashouts to uhh...eat and stuff.
My working bankroll has been hovering between 9-13K.
I also just permanently moved up to 400 NL 6-Max. So far so good.

I estimate $400 down before bringing it back. Had to start over at $10 and work my way up.
I have started out on a downturn each time I move up. Then I get rolling.

Okay. Just so you know I hate you all.
Very, very much.
According to PT my career total is now -$499.
It was -$500 this morning, but because I'm up $4 from 400 hands of $0.50/$1 on Party I have dipped back under (over?) the -$500 mark.
Because I'm a bonus and rakeback whore my BR is is about $1000 (from $0 deposit). I've cashed out $300 once... so over all I'm +$1300 or so lifetime...

I lost my initial deposit of 200NOK(=~30$ lol) somewhere in the autumn of 2005. Redeposited during christmas, and this is where I consider my poker career to have started. That was the time when I really started focusing.
Still, it took me five months to realize that I'm not really cut out for SnG's, as I struggled to break even in the $5.50's (!). So in late april/early may I decided to take a month just playing cash games and whoring bonuses, and started out at 10NL with a bankroll of 250$. That switch has been the best thing to happen to my poker career, from then on I'm up ~10k in poker including bonuses and a 2k stars milestone hand win that I've cashed out.
Also started casino whoring in the end of may, I've now got a ~4k casino roll after cashing out 5.5k.
I'm gonna take this chance to say a big "THANK YOU FTR"!

Don't let him fool you... We really don't like black people. If anything there is a strong bias against them. Even the pseudo-blacks like Boost can't escape this reality.
