17.7k VPP+ w/e I make in the next couple hours to end the month! Great success. Going to crush May and maybe focus more on the 10bb 20% ante hypers as SCOOPs get closer as I assume the amount of fish in these things increase as SCOOP approaches. The neatest thing is a lot have different payout structures so I'm under the assumption a lot of regs might be butchering some spots.

Just grinding away/studying this month. School starting back up but shouldn't be too busy so will still have lots of grinding just not sure how much atm. 11th(unless someone passes me) again this week in BoP. This it the 3rd time I've gotten 11th/12th which is kind of tilting cause a ticket is worth a couple BI or something iirc without looking it up. Will settle for the run good though.

Poker going good. Pretty much b/e the last little while with some donkament run bad over the massive sample size of 30 or so. Finally completed a couple of my mini projects.

I may be looking for a student or 2 or 3 to do a huge operation over the summer and maybe onward. I had a very detailed thing wrote up but decided I won't go into too much detail until I know I am doing this 100%.

Basically it the benefits for me would be 1) I stake you, you make me money. 2a) I gain coaching experience, 2b) I become a credible coach and now have 1-3 people to vouch for me.

For you it would be 1)I stake you, you make yourself money.
    2) At the end of the operation you would have a very good knowledge of shortstack NLHE for tournament/sng play and possibly cash games although cash is really shitty to be playing right now unless you can play 2/4+. This may change at the end of December though.

I don't know if I am doing this yet obviously but maybe if I get a few interested prior to the end of June I'll be more likely to put something together.

This is an awesome opportunity. I can't do it, obviously, and I suck so bad at SnG's and MTT's that you wouldn't want to waste any time on me. But I'm happy that a couple of guys might get this chance.

I also like the fact that you can gain experience as a coach through the process plus see if you enjoy that aspect of poker. My only suggestion would be to keep the agreement short and for not much br. Maybe have a "renew agreement" clause after, say, 2 months, so either party can discontinue the stake at that time if it's not working.

It's odd having been staked. I think it works for me. I'm very conscious each time I play that it's not (just) my own money in play. I owe my backers my full concentration and effort. If it's my money and I donk it off, that's on me, right? So I end up playing better and working harder on my game both. I think it worked that way for kmind, too. But you don't really know how you'll react until you do it.

I have to admit that sometimes I feel a lot of pressure from the stake. I'm not unhappy, but I'm surprised at how little I was able to gauge how I would play and think about poker staked until it happened.

Just my $.02, about $.015 of which other people's money.

I might be interested. Let me know what you have in mind via PM or Skype. Been getting the poker bug lately again and this looks like it could be a pretty sweet opportunity. Much yAAAAAAwn. :3

curious as to why this is the case? are you referring to short-stack (ie CAP) cash games or all ring games?

CAP mostly because rake is unbeatable at .25/.5 and .5/1. Also best possible @ 1/2 is around b/e.

Pretty much every CAP reg in history has had a higher winrate @ 2/4+ then 1/2- which is pretty fin stupid. They have some ideas to fix this though IE. Lowering the rake CAP at .5/1 and .25/.5. If they did this they could even add lower stakes CAP etc.

Of course it's going to be fine to play 100bb deep(I think 250bb is >>>>> at micros+) basically because people make enough mistakes with a big stack to make up for the absurd rake. That said though here's a rake graph by stake for % of winnings of top 50 regulars at stakes from 25NL-5kNL

Remember this is for the top 50 regulars at each stake. If you are even a little bit worse then that you will be getting raked a significantly higher percentage of your winnings!

Poker going good, had a good month at hypers this month, pretty bad at donkaments. Decent rakeback. Intersession going great also!

Stars just added 60s for hypers which is boss as fuck so I'm grinding them now and mixing 30s when there's not quite enough 60s popping off. Havn't quite been studying enough poker lately. Mostly grinding. I usually take a look at a few hands though to keep me sharp. Going to ramp up the volume/studying when school is over(June 20th)

I will also be announcing a Hyper(25bb 6m focused) 11 week program in the very near future.

At the moment I believe it will consist of 10hours of me sweating X student, 10 hours of X student or group sweating me for 1hour/week.

At the start of the program weeks will be divided into 2hrs of material and 1 hour of review/analysis. After all the material has been covered a week will consist of 3hours of review/analysis. This will be completed on 2/3 days of the week as I won't be around on many weekends. The 2/3 days will be whatever is good for the student(s) as I will be playing poker full time this summer. If I only have 1 student I will probably drop the hours a week down to 2.

So basically at the moment this will be 5hours/week of coaching for each student.(7hours for me with 3 students)

At the moment I believe this should be done as a staking deal by me. Students pay 50% of profits EVERY week. If I feel you are ready to move up I will give you a bigger stake. The cost of the program will be ~1800$+800*x. Where x = number of students. If student fails to become a winner then he/she obviously does not have to pay up. If I only get 1 student his charge will be 2k flat.

I believe these prices are fair because I only get payment upon a student being successful. If after 2 weeks you don't like what you are receiving you can quit the program.

^^ This is basically a rough idea of what I want to do. I just started to create a program. This isn't open to americans(I wish it was) UNLESS you have some way to pay me besides shady poker sites.

If someone has ideas/changes that I should make please let me know! I want this to be a huge success for all parties involved.

Okay so I'm back and ready to get back on the grind. Got lazy because I wasn't rolled for 100s anymore so I have been lazily grinding in not putting in hardly any volume. Tomorrow that changes though! My best months of the year have been when I set goals. So I'm going to start with a something simple. A one day goal.

    50 games
    30 min review
    50 games
    30 min review

    All at the 30$ level.
    -20minute run

    Pretty easy.

Also I didn't do the student thing because it was advised by many people that I shouldn't.

I don't understand, why are you giving up on being a student? who's giving you this advice, and do you think they are right?

Penney you silly! School starts up again on the 4th!

Anyway similar goals for today and the rest of the week. I think I'm going to try to get to 1k games/wk in the near future.

Hey, mang, good to see you back. You ever in irc?
Once upon a time, in some out of the way corner of that universe which is dispersed into numberless twinkling solar systems, there was a star upon which clever beasts invented knowing.
