This thread is along the lines of the target threads started by individuals, for others who might be keen to document their ambitions but don't want to blog about it. (Obviously having a monthly target is arbitrary, and yes, all you should really aim for is a certain number of hands, so critical comments about the pointlessness of such targets should be limited if possible!)

My main target is to put off the inevitable downswing after my recent successes (about £500 up in the last 6 weeks or so), but also:

* Continue to regularly play $50NL, £50NL and $100NL when appropriate (which basically means after I've been playing £25 for an hour or so and am pretty much in the zone - I tend to donk off vast swathes of chips in the first 20-30 mins of any session I play)

* Get my BB/100 stat for NL ring above 10 (currently 8.4)

* Build on wins in my last two SNGs to become a properly profitable tourney player again

* Play at least 3 MTTs (the gf will be away for 4 days at the end of the month so I'll actually have the time for a change) and final table one of them

* Focus my study on the correct way to bet post-flop in order to maximise value and minimise risk, aka don't overplay all my medium-strong hands

* Play more £25NL 6max and see if I can continue pwning it, while using it as a testing ground for my looser/more aggressive experiments

Please contribute your own!

Just a brief background. Started with 100$ on Party about 4 months ago and have steadily (with quite a few stints of dangerous downswings) built it up to about 6K. Went from being a mainly SnG player to now multi tabling Party NL 200 6MAX and playing MTTS (between 30 and 100$ buy-ins). I play a LAG style that can get me in trouble (1100$ downswing in no more than an hour of 4 tabling. I swear it wasn't tilt!!!!) . But it also reeps in the known rewards.

Anyway, goals :

-Make between 1.5 and 2K in Party Nl 200 6 max in the month of June.

-Start properly using PokerTracker and Acehud and figure out what my leaks are (I have a rough idea of a few of them -->mainly calling ppl with a marginally made hand + a marginal draw down to the river passively)...but I imagine I'm oblivious to a few more)

-Final Table a MTT (I've FT'd 2 so far)

-Qualify and payout in one of the Million GTD(either on party or stars, I have some money in a stars account for just that purpose.)

ok that's it! Thanks for starting this biondino, it's good to get your goals written down so you hold yourself to them.
Family Cruise IMO

1) Do not play any SnGs (you know you can't count on no interruptions)
2) Play no more than 3 tables at once
3) Think for an extra few seconds before making/calling/folding big bets
4) Try very hard to post atleast one hand for review after every session
5) Download PokerStove and start using it on reviewing hands to gain betting EV understanding and improve putting people on ranges
6) Take a break/quit after a couple buyin downswing or any other time you feel desperate to make the money back.

Play 2k hands per day.
Finally finish everything i have going so i can move to party 3/6 5/10 by the end of the month with a br of around 5-10k
Not suck at life in between so i can actually play poker instead of arranging funerals etc.

Stop losing money. I have had around 7 consecutive losing sessions. If I can just stop losing money during the month of June, that'd be good.

Genitruc is an unknown quantity at this point
pwn B 2 B.

Working on 5th bonus - 3rd 600E 5x in last month and
I think I'm really turning the corner against these nits.

After huge adjustment downswing I have made back 22 buy-ins (shortstacked at nl100) + 9 full buy ins over God knows how many thousands of hands in past 4 wks.

Goal : complete Bestpoker, 66poker and U2 poker big bonuses while continuing to make good decisions and improve post-flop. This should lead to 1600E profit if I break even. Gl me.

Hopefully 6 6max tables for 7 hours a day.

Please be aware that I haven't actually put this plan into action yet so it might not work. I'll give it a good shot though.

hehe that was zeejustin and some prodigyguy. No, I just heard that captzeebo is a multitabling monster who plays a shitload of hands every day (its the same guy who over at 2+2 claimed he could make over 1mil. in one year playing NL 3/6).

My point is, I think most ppl (incl. myself) get burned out pretty fast if we have to play 4000 hands of NL 6-max every goddamn day for a month.

In fact I dont think he ever did, but he was/is certainly capable of it. Its just a question about wether you will get burned out in the procces.
