NOW it is time for the monthly update

    stars cash: 1350
boss cash (with RB converted to USD): 1070
    donkaments + botmanies: 800

    3220 month.

brag: above what I needed to stay on pat leave with pathetic volume
    beat: pathetic volume
variance: 4th consecutive cash in TT for $300 bonus + deep run for another 600 helped counterbalance my EV-related issues.

Loving pat leave. Not going into work is pretty awesome. Must get good volume this month to make sure I can keep it up.

Epic work ethic when in comparison.

First half of the month I hardly played at all due to IRL and such -- most of the hands were from the last half.

My hands/hr has gone down a lot lately, for the best. Playing 4-6 5max tables on boss gets me like 400-500 hands/hr, and 8ish 6max tables on stars gets me like 600ish so it's tough to pull 50k hand months.

...but that's what I'm shooting for this month which works out to about 25hrs/week. gooooooo pat leave!

    Motherfuk

All my hard grinding this monf reduced to nothing due to today ...thank god for feeps? We are pulling 4 hrs tomorrow and friday to be on pace for 50k month. May the second half be better than the first. Not running 3billion below EV on both sites would help.

All is ok. pat leave is still awesome and ship a sweet cottage night on friday

It helps to not be losing bucketloads of manies. As long as I keep having positive months it keeps the tilt away.

I also like to dream whimsically of some day being rewarded handsomely by the EV fairy for all the EV that is owed to me.

Bah month ended horribly. I took shots at 200NL that went atrocious and a 5k turned into a 2.9k month (with rakeback, donkaments and everything).

I did hit my 50k hand goal. Let's shoot for 60k this month

    Pat leave rolls on.

2.6k is the magic number so I'm ahead of schedule!

Yeah, was hoping for more of a buffer so I could move up and become a balla pat leaver. This month obv

Month was...rough. Worst one since feb both in terms of results and play. 200NL shots kicked my ass for the 7th or 8th time. I've lost count tbh

Just did the math and was +569 and that came from stellar + cashing TT yet again. I'm not including the stars RB, which is around 1kish. Will clear a 1.5k this month which with my initial buffer is the only thing keeping pat leave alive.

I'm trying to meditate before each session which seems to rly help put me in the right headspace for grinding. Must cut out autopilot which a recent sweat with azn sensation Bbickes revealed. Moar sweats are in order ldo.

    Well here's to July

ok time for much needed update....sept ended well.

best month of the year at 7k with RB & donkshows & shit even tho 200 shots went shitty as always. It's to the point where I'm like almost convinced 200 is rigged or something and I know I need to beat that mindset out of my head if I ever plan to move up again because I firmly believe that if you're not confident you can beat a limit, you never will beat that limit.

The mental aspect of the game has largely been my focus lately, and I've come to the conclusion it is far more important to winning poker than I ever realized it was. Poker training material is like 99% technical game material, mental discipline is mentioned as a footnote of "don't play drunk/tilted mmmmK?". I would go as far to say that winning poker is at least 50% mental discipline, and to some people this comes easier than it does to others.

Tommy angelo has inspired me to start meditating before each session and I have tried to keep that up diligently in September with only a couple slipups and so far my winrate is awesomely better. Imma try to keep it up for 100k hands and see wat I can sustain over that period.

Month has started ok with 200s swong up & down, then tonight was another epic session:

You sir, have been the most useless sack of shit in this blog, doing little more than telling me I'll fail multiple times and pointing out the obvious.

Why can't you do something cool and csb a homeless guy or something like you do in other blogs?

I have a bit of a routine when I play:

    Eat
    Gym
    Shower
Meditate under hot water in shower
    Poker

I've included the meditation a little over a month ago now and I find myself much more level headed and focused on my goals of the day.

My worst sessions are when I'm experimenting with trying to outplay nit regs from their UTG raises with my SC's in any position. Also, when I become a station postflop thinking it'll feel so nice when I WTF pwn them with middle pair. So, when I meditate I repeat three things in my head:

    1) Play nitty preflop
    2) Be the builder of pots
    3) Don't tilt

Let the flaming continue. I don't care, it works for me.
