1) Go through all the trouble/marginal hands I've identified in PT and post notable hands for review.
2) Don't fire up tables when you are mad because your kid woke up 7 million times and didn't let you play when you had the free time
3) Be much more careful with those hands you get reraised/pushed on.
4) Set a timeframe for each session before I play and be sure to leave 15 mintues at the end for hand review/posting.
5) Post atleast 15 hands for review this month.
6) Build my bankroll to $600

Play 8k hands per week, 32k hands for the month of 4 tabling 5max, profit at least $2k. Maybe move to 200nl.
|
|
Experimenting - 200NL 5max.

hehehe such a random goal to have on a poker forum! I love it!
Mine is to make 6k$ and get back playing 400NL again for a start. I'm not really sure what I'm capable of so i'm finding it hard to set a goal.

Play 120k hands this month, and have a poker graph that is going in a steady uphill motion.

Forreal guys. Don't make monetary goals. Do something that you can control ie. # of hands.

1. I'm looking for a new apartment by August 1st. So my goal is finding an apartment with a few friends that's big, nice, close to subways, close to good venues/restaurants/bars, in one of my preferred neighborhoods (Williamsburg, East Village, Lower East Side, Park Slope, or Propspect Heights), where my share of the rent is less than $750 (Possible? Yes. Possible in 1 month? With enough vigilence and appointments, I think so). This directly affects my bankroll, because if I'm paying say $1000 vs $700, I'll have to make a large cashout to pay for first & last month + security deposit + broker's fee. Plus, I make regular cashouts to help pay for rent. So extra rent = bigger cashouts = smaller bankroll.
2. Stop spending so much goddamn money on overpriced drinks in bars and instead spend this money to increase my bankroll. Maybe I should invest in a flask and just bring that with me when I go out instead of dropping $60/weekend in bars. Or maybe I should just cut down on drinking so much--my liver will thank me 20 years from now.
3. Stop eating out so much. I could save $150 a month that could go right into my bankroll just by doing a little grocery shopping and making my own food more often.

- Increase #tables from 4 to 6-8.
- Play 80-120 hrs, that should be ~50K hands (Party 200 & 400NL).
- Learn to use PAHUD.
- Search for leaks and fix them.
- Win some money and have fun.

1) Grind up a roll by playing tight and smart, not passive.
2) Either buy or bonus, PT or PO and a hud.
3) Finish my bathroom / shower. (I'm tired of going to the one upstairs when playing)

I had made a goal a month or so ago to win a MTT. I had played in over 200 MTT's, including the 45 person SNG's but had a 2nd place as my best finish. I was getting to the point that I thought luck played more of a part than it really does. After seeing the successes of my peers and believing that I could actually do it, I planted it in my head that I would win one.
