I've been wandering / tilted for a couple of months now without improving or even getting worse. I have seen it stated on alot of forums that the difference between a winning / decent player and a true winner / baller is that when a rough downswing player hits the true winner doesn't quit. Watching some of the highstakes cash blogs on FTR I see that I take the money way to serious. I am a winning sng player, maybe a winning mtt player with insignificant volume, and a cash game donk. Recently started playing small stakes / small field live tourneys and enjoying it alot.

So far in January I ran 500 bad online (about 40 buyins in mostly 12$ sit n goes and some 10nl). I am breakeven before rakeback. I am disappointed in myself and haven't played poker in over a week now with the exception of live once or twice. That said my last two live trips, though unsuccessful, I felt confident and knew I had a significant edge and how I was exploiting other players. I feel ready to play online again and that is why I am starting this. I think to Tthat's really all poker is about, exploiting other players ranges / tendencies.

So, since my poker income is relatively unstable, I have low motivation to play alot, and I am unsure what I am doing financially / in general until at least Summer and probably Fall I decided to get a J.O.B. Starting a dealing course on Monday and will be on payroll 2-4 weeks from then. I think I might learn something about the game / at least be able to do some thinking while at work. And steady pay / insurance does sound nice.

I will be working at Concord Card Casino in Salzburg, Austria. I went there for the first time today and it's pretty awesome. Small stakes sng / tournies daily and consistent 1-2€ and 2-5€ running sporadically. You guys should visit if you come to Austria.

Live hand that I am unsure about now
resteal 95s ??

So I guess bottom line is a need to focus on a game / put in hours / win moneys. Not quite sure what that game is yet but have 265 of a deposit bonus left to clear on Fulltilt by Feb. 3rd that I would have to clear by playing 6 max turbo sngs. I also kinda want to get better at cash so I can play live sometimes plus oskar showed me win2day which is a state-run gambling site in Austria where 50nl plays like 10nl on stars.

gogo gadget succeed at poker ?

Good luck to you sir hope it all works out. One thing I might suggest is to pick either sng's or ring games and totally focus on one or the other until you are profitable then if you want work on the other. The two although similar have some pretty significant differences and if trying to improve you really need to focus imo.

I hope your op will include updates on both your dealer training and job. I know I would be very interested in hearing about the training.

I agree with harley, focusing on one or the other will likely speed up your climb. My personal vote is for cash, I think there's more potential there and it's more fun, but I've never taken sngs seriously enough to have a balanced opinion.

Thanks Guys. Yea, I definitely want to focus on a game, just not really sure what that game is yet. single table Sit n goes are really only enjoyable for so long ..
either way all my focus so far has been on dealing and that probably won't change too quickly. Fulltime dealer pay is alot more than I thought it would be. Probably get to deal in their small daily tournaments within a week for awful pay and then cash in 3-4 weeks. Dealing is alot of work, and alot of nitpicky things need to be done perfectly. Namely pitching correctly which is really hard (I threw like 10.000 cards today and I'm about to pitch some more). Luckily I am really aware of all the rules of holdem play which gives me a pretty big edge. Actually get to play / deal tomorrow within our group.

Also huge lol at dealing omahi hi lo. I'd take a half hour to get all the cards out and then trying to read the 5 hands that made it showdown . .. and then . . luckily that game hardly ever runs.

Not really playing, which I guess is an improvement to being break even and tilted. Gonna play this weekend though.

Dealing is insanely tiring but I'm getting alot better. Will probably be dealing tournaments in the next week or two and then awhile before I get to deal 1-2 and 2-5 which is where all the money is at. Tip your dealer next time guys (especially if it's me obv). Or just play online. So many things can go wrong / get cheated live. Live is rigged.

Helping the floor tonight for a huge freeroll maybe I'll make a video or take a few pics of the room.

As a dealer, you have a great perspective on this. I'm wondering how easy it is for a home game to cheat. This is a home game that uses the same dealers for each event. Thanks.

Yea main things that go wrong:

Marked cards (even just one or two random cards gives you a huge advantage and it's hard to catch a little green dot on a card).
Bringing extra cards / keeping a card (throwing 1 into the muck)
Shorting the pot, esp. when splashing but you are only doing that once and a good dealer will count the pot then too.
Angling with stuff like making you opponent muck when you say "I have a fullhouse" with 8 hi.
Then there is just blatant stealing where you chips are gone when you return or someone sneaks a 10$ or two out of your stack. Saw alot of warnings about this on 2p2 and it's a real problem getting the house to refund you.

That's all considering the dealer trust able though. A true card mechanic is going to pretty much create whatever situation he wants (at least a couple times a night but not so often that its too obvious) and 99% of the home game crowd is never going to notice when he deals out of the middle of the deck, fake cuts, fake washes, etc etc.

Keep bashing at it dude. Even though I'm a winning player I've had spells of running break-even for 5k+. It's tough, but you gotta hang in there mentally.

Thanks Nakamura. Yea poker variance can defo be stressful and it is the demise of alot of successful or would be successful grinders. Partially why I am getting a job. I realized I am super risk averse financially

Played for the first time in weeks yesterday and ended up opening alot of tables by my standards (14-15). Guess I got alot faster while playing 6 max. I played 1$ and 3$ 45 mans since I had to wait to clear money onto stars. Plan is to play 3$ for a bit then move to 6.50 45 mans and probably play most 7.70 180 mans which is like 3 an hour or so. I have 100 buyins for these games which is a little short for the 180s but should be fine for 45 mans at this level. First impression is that most people are kinda decent but too nitty with push / fold stacks and of course the I haaz dda toppest pair - fish are also aplenty.

I don't really have any specific goals other than to play 500 games at the 6.50s / 7.70s and to be confident in my game regardless of how I am running. Also stop looking at bankroll every half hour. Super irrelevant, tilting, and I always find a reason to quit early either booking wins, or tilt quitting with losses.

Dealer training is going pretty good, unless I do something incredibly stupid I am getting hired on Friday since they need 3 people and I'm doing pretty well. Sure is a whole lot more to the job then you think when you are dealing in your little home game.
Omaha is also rampant here in Europe. There is the ghetto 1-2€ game (weee shortstacks) and then the baller 2-4€ omaha game with no max buyin where lots of people buy in 250+ bb deep.

More importantly, what color chair do I want; orange ?

Success on the job front, worked my 3rd tourney shift last night and it was the first time I wasn't stressed / anxious. Worked 6 hours straight dealt all the way to the final table of a satellite to the EPT Snowfest main event.

So much awesome live degenerate-ness. Some dude was up 2.2K playing a game similar to blackjack and then lost it all back +800 in half an hour. He thinks he can beat the game but it's pretty impossible since the edge is even worse than blackjack. And those of you who play live know how awful live players are Absolutely zero idea about push-fold for 70% of the field that got deep in the tourney.

So officially got hired and finally settling into the job some and actually kind of enjoying dealing and watching the game. The other night everyone was on opti tilt and ldo it's my fault they lost a flip or got dealt bad cards in the blind.

On the poker playing front I started again last week and played some low stakes 45 and 180 mans. I managed to get 2nd a ton and get zero firsts running 300K tourney chips below ev. I was still a sleight winner 14 tabling and today I decided that it's a waste of my time playings the super micros when I know I am a winner there.
One the bright side I managed to focus on plus ev plays and didn't care too much about the money.

I still don't really know what I want to play but I realized I need to stop being a volume / variance bitch (mainly thanks to nakamura owning 16s after running 600 below ev over 600ish games). Today I 14 tabled the 6.75s and 13.50 single tables again like old times and tables were pretty soft and I ran good.

I have the next 2 days off work and my goal this week is to
[ ]make the battle of the planets leaderboards, .
[ ]get 550 more vpps to play the turbo takedown
[ ]Focus on the game and win monies

Mid-Long term future:
[ ] Play in EPT snowfest side events for ~500€ of my action if I can get some time off work or otherwise some other 100-500 buyins mtts.
[ ] Enjoy playing poker and build a roll and then look into some higher buyin sngs on euro sites possib selling part of my action.

Congrats on the job!

Focus on volume rather than BOTP success. It's tempting but if you define success by how much you win, it can be a slippery slope mentally.

Yea, you are right of course. While I am making goals like that I might as well have a "goal" to win the lottery or luckbox some huge tourney.

So I actually started putting in "some volume" by my weak standards. Like 70 games in the last 24 hours and up quite a bit of moneys so that is nice.

I deposited some money on bwin just to see what it's like and because there is a kickback bonus plus a super sick deposit bonus.
in total for paying 550 bucks in rake I get
350 deposit bonus + 110 kickback bonus so just a hair over 80% rakeback + some player points

I've kinda been tempted to play turbo sngs recently but just can't bring myself to play the 16s on stars because variance is high and edges are low because its a massive nitfest and I don't even know how much of an edge I would have. The 11s on bwin are super duper soft. My plan is to play on bwin at night here in austria and play on stars at night in the U.S. / a.m. here. Works well since I am a vampire anyways because I work from 8pm to 6/8 am.

Ah, best part of poker is for sure when you are on a heater, Up ~400 over last 150 games in past 3 days

So we all know the fish who say "online poker is rigged" and "rng is not random" etc etc. Well in live poker the dealer is obviously rigged. I've dealt quads 3 times and all times it was 4444 (once after floor declared a players hand dead for showing it to the guy who shoved on him) as well as runner runner str8 flush vs top 2 that became boss full on the turn

Best beration so far is along the lines of:

"Godamn all you young dealers must have all been wanking before work and forgot to wash your hands"

Awesome stuff, dude. I'm still getting pounded in the $16s, they are high variance indeed at the moment. A lot of regs are over-regging at the moment, which is probably a sign that there aren't enough fish in the ecosystem. That said a lot of the regs have significant leaks. I had to take a guy I thought was quite good down two notches in my rating system after I found out, amongst other things, he is super weak HU.

70 games is fine in a day, especially if it's not on PS or FT. The last two days I have put in only 70 games on each day, although yesterday PS screwed up the server reset so it was down for longer than usual.

GL, please wash your hands now.

wow, so I don't really pay alot of attention to high stakes ballers and such in the poker world. But aziantracker made SNE in 2 months and pretty much played 6+ hours and every high stake sng that went off. He played like 14.000 games and lost a few buyins and of course made ~125.000 out of SNE.

Sadly I am not that sick But I kept supernova pace for a couple of days (only 170 games) and made 450 bucks plus another 100 live tonight in a 50 bi tourney. I ran sick good to start and got to final table with close to 1/3 of chips in play, and then ended up 6th which is first paid position. I ran into pocket kings 3 times obv. Moderately tilting the 12 times I've been i have now gotten 2,3,4,6 each once. Then again 110% roi is prolly not sustainable and I should be happy about it.

Back to real life work and then going to grind out bwin bonus the rest of the month, maybe a 300 fulltilt bonus, and then check out 500 or 1000$ bonus at betfair in the future hopefully moving up cuz I feel comfortable taking shots with the money I have online now since I have steady income (and 100 bi for a game that will be < half of my volume is not really "taking shots").

The rng should wash it's hands (or not cuz I am still running sick good), and you should run better.

I was running really good and playing my B game and now I stopped running really good and should probably start playing my A game and drop some tables. 14 stars tables is ok especially if I don't continue to reg so I only have 10 or less when I am shorthanded on alot a tables. Had some recent tilty sessions of bwin + stars on 14+ tables and a couple 5 max games. Ran meh too but I need to only play on bwin or stars, multi-siting is just too much of a pain in the ass.

Cleared 110 kickback bonus on bwin (from regalospoker) + 20% of my 350$ first deposit bonus by paying 100 bucks in rake so that is a sick deal but I need to clear the full 350 since it pays out lump sum by May 1st which should be easy enough.

Month so far:
550 @ tables
+100 live
+180 bwin bonus
+30 stars deposit bonus
up 860.00 which is better than I have done in a whole month since like.... September. So that feels really good but I need to play a little bit better and aim to get in like 800 games total, probably about 50-50 bwin turbos and knockouts on stars.

Also I think I am going to try to deal omaha today (Basically got under 30 minutes of training :S ), I am pretty quick at mental math but I think in English and calculating pot is going to be pretty damn confusing along with trying to keep track of all the regular shit and then showdowns with 4 hole cards. Tips are at least twice as good at the single blind 2€ omaha tables vs 1-2 though because the table plays deep and there is awesome degen action.

Guess we'll see how long I work and maybe put in a 30-50 game session on stars when I get home and take some shots at 27s since it will be Friday night in the U.S. and I can easily cherrypick 3 or 4 games that are softer than the 13s. I might take one shot at a 67.50 if I can chase a few fish up there since I know most of the regs / fish but I will only sit in one good game.

Combined BR: A few $ shy of 2K not including the 440€ I deposited for the redeposit bonus at stars which I will withdraw again.

Gaaah, running below ev at work I made 28€ + like maybe 10€ in regular wage on a 9 hour shift One table with 3 hot milfs + 2 drunken retards where I shipped the milfs over 10 pots over 100€ and a few over 200€ I got one (yes a single) 1€ tip. Mind you I pay 7€ / half hour so that was an hour of me losing money since the rest of the table didn't tip well either. I'm not even that ugly or incompetent at dealing either O well variance i suppose.

Also anyone who beats 10nl should come play in Austria (or anywhere live I don't have much experience in that department) and crush all the fish. It's not even funny how bad they all play. Totally telegraph their hands, value bluff, only bluff one street at most, misjudge pot sized (20€ bet takes down 80€ 6 way pots alot more than they should). Also if someone sighs or complains about the river card then bets a decent amount ... they have it. I know that's a typical tell but it has got to be the most accurate. Something like 20 for 20 so far.

Didnt play any 27s on saturday morning but I played a couple on sunday morning and busted both, excessively soft games and I should probably mix them in on the regular. I have noticed I defaulted to deciding my action based upon buyin in close spots (screw it 5$ sng I am shoving vs oh I will nit this up, esp. in the 27s) this is pretty horrible at times when I have semi decent reads and I should just make a decision based on factors that affect my equity and such.

Put in another successful session on bwin for 100$ in an hour this morning so running super hot this month. I feel I am shoving good ranges, maybe calling a little loose without solid reads, and then just running like god when I am behind :P

Also I need to think up some solid life BRM, not really saving for anything in particular but I want freedom in the future to travel, study abroad, who knows what all of which money allows me to do. Opened a Closed Deposit type of account today at the bank which yields 7% the first year and then fluctuates based on market but min. 4.1%. The Gov't pays 3% (included in prev figures) up to 1200 / yr so that is how much I deposited and will deposit yearly. I'm usually a pretty decent nit regarding small purchases but I like to make big ones (on my childish scale).
I broke my creative headset and had to buy a new one, a cheapish gamer headset that was decent cost 100€ or 140$. Christ do I love cheaper electronics in the U.S. where it would cost 50% less.

Here is a pic of my current grindstation which I am pretty happy with (just got rid of the office chair I had that was probably used by Hitler's aid in the 1930s). The setup looks a little weird with the samsung tilted the way it is on the left but it actually works really well, I usually keep all the tables cascaded on the right one and have lobbies, itunes, and maybe the internet (bad) on the left. I might spend 120-150 on a SSD when I get my paycheck but maybe I should just nit it up.

Pretty good month all in all, up ~730 at the tables and 270 in various bonuses between stars and bwin over 400 games.

I decided I am definitely going to go to ept snowfest just for the experience, I am still trying to decide if I will play in a 1K holdem or 500+500 bounty event but leaning towards not. If I did I would probably sell half my action. Have work today and then tomorrow off, goal is to put in at least 150 games before work friday night and work on clearing the rest of my bwin and stars bonuses.

After that going to move to betfair and clear that deposit bonus (not sure if 500/1000/or 2.5K yet + 70$ signup. Leaning to 1000 as it clears at around 50% for sngs vs 67.5% for 500 and 40% for 2.5 (doubt I can put in that much volume in 60 days). Will mainly play 10/20$ 5max games to start since they run the most.

Combined roll is 2650ish. Also holy batshit bwin software is so tilting, makes you love stars so much.

Gah, must run better at 20s/27s. They are defo not that much harder than the 10s... this hand kinda sucked in a 20 turbo
Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $600(BB) On Game
SB ($1,875)
Hero ($4,175)
UTG ($3,235)
CO ($4,505)
BTN ($1,210)

Dealt to Hero A A

UTG raises to $3,175 (AI), fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $2,575

FLOP ($6,950) J J 4

TURN ($6,950) J J 4 5

RIVER ($6,950) J J 4 5 6

Hero shows A A
(Pre 92%, Flop 4.3%, Turn 2.3%)

UTG shows J A
(Pre 8%, Flop 95.7%, Turn 97.7%)

standard obviously but

Putting in 100 games today prolly like 60 on bwin turbos and then 40 on stars. Snap lost 150 to start the day (in under an hour at like a 7 dollar average buyin..) but won most of it back... and just lost most of that back. like 130 below ev now.

In good news I decided I am definitely going to play a 1K event at EPT snowfest. Not because its good bankroll management or because I have enough of an edge to cover expenses but just for the experience. Going to sell half my action prolly to family / friends though .

edit
Finished up 32 game session on stars for 80 total that was enough to bring me back to 65 in the green. I played some 27s and they were soft and I ran pretty well early but only got 2 2nds. Officially sold action for ept event and very excited. Beginner's (for a big live field) luck imo

Monthly stats:
480 games, +1K all together about 240 from bonuses mostly at bwin

691 of 2970 vpp for 110€ stars bonus to clear by April 7th so going to focus on playing there.
30% of bwin cleared which pays out 350 gross some so I have to grind that out by May 1st.

Ty. Ept snowfest started this week. The 1K starts tonight @ 21:00 so I'm just about to leave. Just going to play my best, pay good attention to all the action, and not be a nitbox. Repeat NOT be a nitbox. We'll see how it goes I'll probably post some pictures here. The first 1K that ran Tuesday / Weds got 200 runners so I assume this should be similar.

Work is going ok, we got sent back to training and dealing tournies only which sucks cuz cash games were way more profitable obviously but people complained because we deal slow and the real deal breaker was when a colleague pushed the pot to a losing hand in omaha, game over right there

Also, Gloria Balding is pretty hot imo and

Ty, but I busto fished. Also didn't see your pm until the next day but hopefully in the future you could stake me a small % just for reps sake.

The second 1K only had 61 players but it was omg soft. About an average 20$ sitngo on stars at the hardest. I definitely had an edge with about 1/3 of the field being noobs who got put in stepchild tournament by their friends, 1/3 being uncreative nits, maybe 20% being semi solid and the rest.. and the rest being rich degen fish. Lol english black kid who shoves 42s as a bare flush draw in a 3bet multiway pot without fold equity under an hour into the tournament about 100 bb deep. Sigh.

I chipped up from the 10K to 14K without showdowns and went back and fourth between 12 and 14 and went to day two with 12K and we started at 200/400/50ante. I lost half my stack when I flatted AT vs some super loose opener for 1K (he covers me) and then a shorty shoves 5.5K over and I am getting a pretty good price so I call (his 3rd shove in the last 2 orbits) he has AJ and I brick. Then I play push fold until I shove 22 utg six handed for 6.000 at 300/600/75ante and get snap called by K9s in the CO, lol table was so good Board runs out QJxAT. I think I had 2 hands I bet postflop for value in over 6 hours of play. Sigh, it was fun I suppose mainly let down cuz I wanted to play longer today. I think I did a pretty good job distancing myself from the money and managed to play pretty well.

I'll post some pictures in a little bit.

Working, chick in 9 seat was hot

Meh, heater is over have been breaking even last little while. Really need to finally succeed on a volume goal and clear the 110€ reload bonus at stars (like 200 vpp /day til the 7th) and maybe clear some of the fulltilt bonus they offered me, plus the 350 on bwin by may 1st.

Have my official dealer's test on friday, need to deal a error free shoe of blackjack and half hour of omaha to pass.

Sounds good to me, flick me a pm or hit me up in irc cos i (and most others) probably won't see it in the staking thread.

Heateraments
So after running 400$ bad at the 20s (standard variance obv). I finally ship 2 after getting like 2 seconds in the last 20.

Trying to put in sick volume to clear the reload bonus
so far:
4 hours, 235 vpp, +175$ over 45 games.

Game selection actually blows at the moment so I am going to go do something else for a while and then come back for another 30+ games.

Also if anyone wants to help me moving stars money to tilt in about a week I'd appreciate it (roughly 700). Smaller chunks or someone with a good reputation and I can ship first.

Time to go deal oh-me-ha

unbelievable, i could win with my eyes closed right now.
63 games in total with 415 in profit. (crushed my previous best of 270 in a day)
352 vpps in 6 hours. Need to put in a 500 vpp tomorrow cuz I have work off and the friday fishies will be aplenty.

Almost want to keep playing, kinda failed on the volume front but o well. I am satisfied obv. Played a total of 10, 27s and going to start playing exclusively 27s and 13s outside of a couple 6's when i first load so I can get to 14 tables.

+1050$ on stars and 300 on bwin including bonuses but not fpps. Pretty good I played under 60 hours so I'll take it +100 live and -550€ at ept but that was shot taking.

Kinda want to go to ept san Remo and play two 330€s and a 230€ sat into the 2K event, but I am already taking time off work to go to Italy in early April so i don't know if I could get another week off.

Just found this blog, fun read so far. I've been to Austria, but in Baden for the Casinos Austria Poker Tour. We also spent a night in Vienna which was flat out epic. I really dug what I saw of the country. Good luck, you sound like you have a bit of degen in you which I like, lots of potential here.

FUFUFUFUUFUFFUFU....

we all failed omaha test to one degree or another, I announced a hand as a straight that was a flush. I f-ing hate 2 color decks. Then I proceed to get an extra shift since I am already there (my one day off this week obvs) in total I spend 15 hours at the casino with a one hour break for dinner and dealt like 95% of 10 hours straight through. I also had two pretty shitty spots where I had to call the floor today. Only one was really shitty. It's some raised pot and its headsup to the flop which comes Axx rainbow and the caller donk shoves allin for around pot. Raiser tanks and bitches and whines (is a regular so obv) and then throws KK onto the table, I announce fold and then he throws his stack ontop of his now opened cards and while I try to tell him its a fold and he says he wants to call, then the other guy opens Ace-Jack. Then he decides that his action was obviously a fold Floor ends up ruling it a call which is kinda meh but idk what are you gonna do.

Oh well, going to sleep now and try and get in the 37 games I need for a battle of the planets block by 6 am tomorrow.

Ty for dropping by rav, although I think you misread me. Very little degen in playing 10 dollar sitngoes on a 5k roll like i was until recently. Trying to add a lil more degen / risk now though

Last day to clear the deposit bonus at stars, need 768 vpp to clear the full 110€ but will clear at least 100€. Took a shot at a soft 67.50 game and got 3rd, kinda sucks cuz I couldnt close and first is 225 + 40 to 60 in bounties. It's seriously the same game with a bigger buyin, same horrible fish doing really dumb stuff. Same nit regs who dont understand concepts beyond hand rankings and winning at showdowns I'm now playing hardly any 6s unless game selection really sucks and mixing most 27s because they are hardly any more difficult than 13s, unlike the 67s which dont run much and usually have 5 good / great regs although I will keep an eye out for soft ones in the future. I wanna make some time to do a little studying on a couple of regs as well as some push fold especially 3bet jamming.

I have also stopped paying as much attention to the $$ and just focusing on playing well. I still misclick fold alot (mainly QQ and 99 i have no idea why...) and have a hard time 14 tabling when I am 2-4 handed on alot of tables.

Getting crushed :O was up over 150 and am down over 200 now. Games are shitty and I am tilted so gonna take a break for a few hours, cleared 90€ of the 110 and cashed out the bonus amount and ordered a pair of gunnars.

In an attempt for a bit of a change I decided to move 250 (tnx fulksy) over to Fulltilt and see how much I can run it up to (with very aggressive brm, fine if I bust) They gave me a 300$ bonus there but I only have til the 15th to clear it so I probably wont clear too much of it. Playing 90 mans atm which take way too long but are defo super soft.

Just closed out my biggest win ever for a whopping 302$ in a 13$ 90 man, obviously I am rolled for these games . And shipped a 6.50 too.

Current roll: 485

That was quality entertainment. 90 mans are so very soft, so many nits just giving u their blinds in the middle and late stages.

Also I wanna be like this guy, played with him like 5K hands this past week and he's definitely pretty good but not a genius by any means, also sick how he runs so good at 20's wtf. Most of the good regs have a similar (like 5% less max) roi at the 20s vs 10s, obv I am on decent heater at the 10s.

Well done on your progress! Sounds like you are doing well.

Pretty sick stats for both you guys although sample size is fairly small in both cases. 2000 games isn't enough to say anything meaningful and he will likely experience some variance that will drop his ROI.

Ty Nakamura, hopefully i keep running good.

Holy shit ongame software plus turbos which are over 3 times faster than what I am used to equal tilt. God I want to go back to stars and fulltilt so bad right now Watching skins while playing was probably not ideal but omg bunch of shitty turbo nits and running bad sucks. Up a whopping 60$ before rakeback at ongame, up over 250 in rakeback though so thats good.

I passed my omaha re-test today, surprise test ohoh. The room manager was sitting at an actual game playing as a prop 4 or 5 handed and we each dealt half an hour. Boom, time for dealing cash games. A coworker also new to dealing made over 400 euro or 600$ in the last two days. My turn

Well I only cleared 40$ of the Fulltilt bonus which kinda sucks since I was clear like 12$ an hour in bonus/rakeback alone plus some table profit 12 tabling. Now I am gonna clear up the bwin bonus and then never play there again.
No idea what the plan is after that, I am going to start 12 table tiling and try to play any 27s that arent totally regfilled and fill the rest of the slots with 13.50s. I will actually be working on my game too. I swear I have not really logically thought about poker in a long time off the tables. If I don't move back to Washington state I am debating making a run at Supernova this year. I'd only do it if I was making a good chunk of $$ of the tables though which I think is easily possible.
I know I make mistakes but I am pretty confident that I am better than many of the regs at the 27s and almost all of them at the 13.50s. I think 3$ after rakeback per game with a mix of the two stakes is easily achievable.

My goal for the month is to clear the bwin bonus which is about 25 hours of play 9 tabling and then get goldstar on stars which is at least another 25 hours. I am going to have to change my sleeping patterns and eat / exercise better / more to have any chance of this since I only have 5 days of work the rest of the month. Been really enjoying playing recently even with some mediocre results outside of my little run on fulltilt.

Also wtf my grandparents went on a roulette heater last night for about 2700€ or 4000$ playing with bets of 2 and 5 €. Seriously wtf variance.

eh, wtf. I'm spending all my time sleeping and there is only a 8 ish hour window where its worthwhile to play on bwin so I still have to pay 300 in rake by the end of the month there. Yikes, but obv worthit. Had my first solid winning session on bwin, very few games though but up 110 which is nice. There are hardly any winning players on bwin sngs which I think is largely related to the fast format (3 min levels).

Stars sngs are pretty adversely affected by the us market close-down, there aren't enough reg speeds left to play exclusively 20$+ buyins if you want to 12+ table which sucks. I have to mix regular 11s if I want to 12 table since not enough 27s and 13 knockouts run alot of the time (U.S. evenings). Speaking of 27s I need to run better in those, down over 300 there, over 400 below ev.

I guess we'll see what the future holds, I want to start playing more mtts and maybe some cap cash games. I just dont really know what's going to be most profitable / run enough but I don't feel like it's gonna be 9mans.

May be interested in buying 20.000 or 40.000 fpps from a u.s. player in form of an amazon euro giftcard and buy a 27" and a sound system. I'd pay .012 (240$ for 20K) per fpp and could pay by Bank of America, paypal, or moneybookers. PM me if ur interested.

gonna go to sleep now (9 a.m. obv) then do some sngwizard review since I feel I dont play perfectly at high blinds since i'm not that used to them. Then gonna pay off at least 100$ in rake at bwin which should be a 5 hour session, then maybe some stars, then back to my real job :s

edit: bitch about running bad obviously have to go on heater, just about doubled my bwin bankroll in 4 hours I regged for one 22, ran good registered for a few more, and before I knew it 440 was 820. Bink. Obviously crucial time to run good although I would have redeposited if I had went busto and stopped playing 22s. Investigating more of the ongame regs and I swear no one is winning at the 10 man turbos at any respectable rate (say over 5% roi at 10s) (including me if you go by ev line). Damn software has crashed & or disconnected FOUR times today. Only about 15 hours of play left and then back to stars. Also stoked to play the turbo takedown for the first time this sunday, super good value especially if its a small field due to U.S. bullshit and stars doesn't change the guarantee which they haven't so far . . .

Pretty successful month so far, the DOJ thing with the U.S. is really depressing for tons of reasons. It really sucks for U.S. players who were playing poker for a living (ldo), but it makes me sad thinking about it. And it sucks for me cuz medium stakes (20,30,50s) sitngos dont run enough to really have a future playing them (regular 9 mans anyways) and if I move back to u.s I wont be able to play whatsoever. Like there are 11 games running right now from 20-50 (and 0 109s or above) including knockouts which is nowhere near enough to play those exclusively.
After 603 games I'm up 1300 including rakeback in around 65 hours. Have more bonuses than I can clear at the moment (a new 400 on ft, 140€ on stars, another 100 on bwin) but goal is still to finish bwin bonus and get goldstar on stars by months end.
843 points to go on bwin (5 per $ in rake)
1355 vpp to go on stars

Also been meaning to make a video for the contest but we'll see I just have not been in the mood recently. Looking forward to playing some mtts. 3 each of the 11 and 22 big dailys (and get free 11 and 22 scoop ticket), turbo takedown, and then a couple scoop events.

Wow, I feel like giving up. I haven't looked at the cashier window because i decided to stop doing that during play but I am down over 20 avg buyins in under 2 hours easy. I seriously dont even have to look at showdowns. And the only games I am not running like death are 6s ofc. Games are amazing too, tons of fish. Gonna take a break and then play in the turbo takedown and ship that to make things ok.

managed to finish only 100 down which is a good result sadly, the game were so f-ing good too. Just shy of 2k vpps and gonna clear of bwin bonus today and tomorrow.

Still in the Turbo Takedown? I made the money, but I bust out trying to go for a good finish.

Keep up the poker volume, it feels pretty rough sometimes but it's the way it goes sometimes, especially in SNGs. I should know, I've run break-even for so long I can't remember anything else!

nah, but I did cash. Quality of play was pretty terrible and I think I would have had a great edge short stacked but I ran 75s in AK with like 5 bb. Stars is tilting me to no end this month :s

wow, playing like a huge spewmonkey at the moment. breakeven for the day on stars and up some on bwin. Only another 70 games on bwin tomorrow and I get my bonus $$ paid and then I have 920 vpp to go for goldstar.

I know what you mean. I shoved into the big stack to my left from the SB three times and the first two times he pitched up with AKo and the last time he pitched up with KK. That's some run of cards for blind battles. Of course I sucked out the first two times, so it's not all bad.

gah, on my last 3 hours on bwin. Going 0 cashes in 11 22$s
Maybe I should just fold

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $20(BB) On Game
SB ($1,480)
BB ($1,500)
UTG ($1,500)
Hero ($1,500)
UTG+2 ($1,540)
MP1 ($1,500)
MP2 ($1,500)
MP3 ($1,500)
CO ($1,500)
BTN ($1,480)

Dealt to Hero K A

fold, Hero raises to $80, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to $250, fold, Hero raises to $1,500 (AI), SB calls $1,230 (AI)

FLOP ($2,980) 6 9 8

TURN ($2,980) 6 9 8 3

RIVER ($2,980) 6 9 8 3 Q

Hero shows K A

I should prolly fold pre cuz of ICM but I didnt want too.. ooops. Villain is one of few winning regs.

also wtf just managed quads for the 5th time these last 3 days and dealt them twice and had a str8 flush on stars.

Boom, I never have to play on bwin again, horray! Yuck i lost so much (about 250) playing 22s today I just ran f-ing awful. Luckily I ran ok at 11s and only lost 100.

My stay at bwin, roughly 35 hours of play. 87% rakeback all together is your friend.

m

meh, back on stars and getting owned so tilted. It's not even the money just not succeeding is so frustrating. idk, games are good. I'll just be playing some more of them. Also flopped quads again obv.
People are making calls that are just horrible vs my range (and perceived range if they could perceive), then they have good equity vs my actual hand and bink of course. And otherwise they just cooler the shit out of me. A solid 180 below ev in only 18 games. Yea, i basically lost every single one

Sigh, that hopeless feeling when u know every decision is the wrong one. Like 800 below ev at 20s this month and lost about 350 (seriously) last 2 or 3 days. Probably more the way the current session is shaping up. only 600 vpp left for goldstar but i might not make it. Just feels so hopeless. And games are great again today too ofc. FUUUUUUUUUU just looked at cashier that was a bad idea, down 500 now last 3 days. cashed 0 of 8 27s again.
Also not playing tomorrow. Way too tilted and need the day off. Maybe I'll decide what to do next month. Thinking about playing just enough at stars to clear the reload bonus and then playing turbo 11$ and 22$ 9 mans at FT for 400$ bonus and potentially Black card since I'd be 25% of the way there. Would depend on how good 22 and 33s are fish / reg wise.
