Sup guys.
So tomorrow night I leave for Edinburgh airport where I will fly to London from there to San Francisco from there the next day. After spending a week in San Fran, exploring, catching up with an old friend etc, I'll be headed to Vegas to meet up with BooG, hopefully not be raped by him and play some epic live pokers and party. I'll be in Vegas until the end of August and hope to make zillions of dollars owning live feeshes.
This thread will be where we can post our tales and where I'll be documenting my travels. Never been out of Europe before, so this will be an awesome adventure I hope.
I just went out and purchased a little net book which I'll be taking with me to stay online on. It seems pretty shitty but it'll suffice.
I'll update lots tomorrow when I'm bored in airport overlays.
If anyone else is going to be in Vegas from July 22nd let me know! It'd be awesome to hang out and meet more FTRers if anyone's going to be around.

Just had a last minute freak out when I realised I had no idea I had no idea with with whom I'd booked my Edinburgh - London connector flight for tomorrow! Maybe all that weed in Amsterdam is to blame. I eventually found the relevant email - in the folder it should have been in where i somehow missed it the first time I looked. I then discovered I had a print out of it also sitting a few feet away from me. Good start imo!
Tomorrow is going to be a bitch of a day as I leave at like 12am, getting the night bus to Edinburgh where I have a 5 hour wait in the airport (decided it wasn't worth spending monies on a hotel there) only to catch an early morning plane to London followed by another 5 hour wait there before a 10 hour flight to San Francisco. Going to be pretty beat by the time I arrive there, but have a hotel booked that looks fairly comfortable. I'll likely try to sleep after I check in, after a brief wander. I'm meeting my friend the next day to get shown about and hopefully commence some partying.
Let the epic day of airports and planes begin!

God I hate waiting about in airports. Should really go check in and join this bitching line soon. If there's one thing that tilts me it's very very slow queues. In Edinburgh airport this morning there was some azn family. The husband and the check in lady had the same circular argument for like 25 minutes where he wanted his bags sent directly to some airport and kept insisting this while she kept insisting that this was impossible die to the fact he'd booked 2 separate tickets. It tilts me when people just have the exact same conversation 50 times over and over again.
Pretty sleep deprived. When I fall asleep and have to wake up my head goes into this one psth mode where all it can do is say "When I get off this plane I'll find a corner of the airport to sleep in, wouldn't it be awesome if there were sleep booths in airports, man I wanna sleep, i could just check into some hotel in London and sleep through my flight, it'd probably be worth it." It's impossible to sleep in this airport, it's fucking packed.
I just ordered an aranciata (orange soda) from an Italian cafe and I said it all Italian and shit because I'm a dick.
This netbook is literally a piece of shit. It has something called windows 7 starter. Which is basically windows 7 retarded. get this shit, not only will it not let me install flash player, it also doesn;t allow you to change the desktop background: "Windows starter only has one background" it tells me. Cunt.
I just paid like £11.50 for some hot spot wifi subscription because I'm addicted to the internet if I'm bored. It's probably worth it.
These are some very disjointed thoughts, but hey I'm really tired. I'd love to be asleep as it goes.
So anyway, last night I was riding the night bus from the city i live in to the city where I was catching my flight to London. While on the bus I was like shit, I don't wanna wait in an airport for 5 hours TWICE. So I realised there was a casino where I'd change buses anyways so opted to go there for 3 hours. It was epic ballin because I won £20 on blackjack and 3 card brag and didn't have to spend 5 hours in the airport. The best part I think was when I realised I needed shoes instead of sandals and smarter clothes to get into the casino so changed on the night bus in the dark.
More thoughts to come later. I should be in San Francisco in around 15 hours time. I'll check into my hotel and sleep like a baby. Later.

Check this place out. Stayed here last Oct. Low budge but it's across the freeway from the MGM, has a Dennys, and a decent bloodymary. Rumor has it as the loosest slots in town so...push buttons and get free bloodys.

Hai from San Francisco! So my hotel is busto and has broken wifi and lame ass policies. The area I'm staying is literally the ghetto. It feels identical to wandering around in GTA4 only I'm not some bad ass immortal romanian with nothing to lose! There are all these black blinged up girls wandering around shouting "nuhhh uhh girlfriend! Ohh no you did-int!" then there are a few Hispanic dudes walking around muttering shit to themselves. One last night was all like "I'ma go get my machine gun yo, im'a blow you fuckers up, former marine man, nam sayin'"
Thrilled to be here and the flight wasn't bad in the slightest. I slept for the most part , 10 hours is nothing on me. Slept for like 11 hours last night to catch up 10pm - 9am - lol old person's sleeping routine! Today I'm meeting my friend Cara and getting shown some less ghetto spots in the city. Hopefully find some good places to get drunk and catch up.

It's cool guys. This is just the prelude to the ballin. I'm heading to San Jose for a night out tomorrow so I'll be sure tob take my camera and at least take some pictures. See in the UK I usually have some dumb ass friend who has to take like 8 pics per minute for 6 hours, which is a pain in the ass, but still better than taking 0 which is what I do.
I discovered this area isn't actually very threatening, it's more just that everyone, literally everyone, in San Francisco is completely insane. For instance yesterday as we go to ditch my friend's car this black dude just hobbles down the street and collapses with a bottle of vodka in his hands. he's just all spazzing around, rolling about from side to side on the sidewalk. I get asked for a smoke like 5 times each time I step out for one. It 's like the degens here, which make up like 72% of the population all just wander around shouting shit at one another and asking each other for stuff, they seem pretty happy though.
Friday night was awesome as we got fucked up like old times and I had the best taco ever. Had to join all the degens in this city by wandering about with jack daniels in a paper bag between bars. Jack always fucks me up badly! Last night we had the best sushi ever, sushi in the uk is fucking terrible I've now realised, like it's so fucking bad compared with real stuff.
Really excited for vegas, if like Bikes you don't care about me and my pre vegas rants, then come back and check on the 23rd

So bout time I update this Itinerary, my busy thread prevented me from doing it any sooner.
So been in Santa Cruz for a few days now and only just been able to get a bed in the hostel tonight. Popular as hell travellers town and they have one hostel! So been ripped off by busto motels the rest of the time. Got a few tales to tell, but nothing balling in the sense of fucking multiple bitches or injecting smack, if you tuned in for those things, go browse FTR and get better at poker instead!
So I gotta make this semi breif because I just met some middle aged tennis player dude who wanted to go toss some frisbee on the beach. I guess I'll do that for now since I have no other leads. Here's a day by day breakdown of what I've being doing so far.
Monday
I went down to San Jose to meet up with My friend Cara and some of her people. Went to her local bar and argued with her American friends a lot about why the british are so much more awesome than Americans, all in good jest of course. Shame people can't ever tell when I'm joking due to my blunt/dry ways. So many good jokes lost in the mists of presumed insult. Got pretty fucked up went back to hers, had to crash on a shitty sofa and then get up at 7am to catch the bus to Santa Cruz since she was going to work.
Tuesday
Arrived in Santa Cruz at the sickly time of 8am. There wasn't much going on and all I could think about was sleep so I treked around trying to find decently priced hotels after i discovered the hostel was full and had an 11 o clock curfew, i really wanted to party a little later than that it being my first night in SC and all. So as I was walking down the wharf this little hippy girl comes up and is like "Hey you, have you seen my guitar?" I'm like "Nah sorry" and she starts telling me all about her night and how fucked up she got etc etc and then about how we met because we'd manifested each vother and willed it to happen. Apparently energies and manifestation are the only way to be happy in life and the more positive shit you transmit the more good things happen. She would be all happy one minute then be crying the next and I bought her some pizza since she'd lost everything and what not. Then I checked into a busto motel and slept for a few hours. "next time you see me I'll have collected a whole new inventory" she told me, I didn't see her again after that. As long as she keeps transmitting positive energies though nothing bad will happen espeically not her bronchitis which she already has. I guess she must have manifested that too, poor choice of manifestation imo.
Then I get up at like 5pm and go eat Indian food because all I'd had was mexicans and shit for the last few nights. Although I must say, Taqueria is awesome. I then went wandering equipped with beers in my bag, because yeah I was alone and had the challenge of finding the travellers, or someone to hang out with in a beach town full of children, families and fat ugly smelly hairy rude leeching tramps. I found these two dudes and struck up a conversation, then some cop came and told us to stop smoking on the wharf, and that we were lucky not to have been fined shitloads of money or what not. We went into town and got into their friends car, before driving to the cliffs to drink some beers. These kids were such mega stoners, like all they did was smoke bowls then laugh about dumb fucking shit. They spoke in this californian stoner language and so were pretty difficult to understand.
Wednesday
I headed to the beach to attempt to tan my white ass. Kinda worked and I avoided getting burnt to shit, but then the weather isn't super hot here, in fact today it's plain meh. In the morning I'd met the most irritating person I've ever met in my life. I was in the busto indoor pool of the busto motel when a busto old crazy californian lady comes in. She's immediately telling me about how all her family are Scottish blah blah. But she's didn't talk to me, she just shouted shit at me consntatly and drew terrible inaccurate sloppy maps on the side of the pool, splashing water all over the [place to show me hoe Wales was an Island at the top of Scotland. Then I'd dip under water to get the fuck away and she'd continue shouting at me. it wasn't the case that I could even ignore her since she asked direct questions then waited for answers which she could ignore and shout more nonsense over. She'd be like "Have you ever seen the Channel Islands." And I'd be like "Nah I've never been..." and she'd be like "Pirates of the Carribian was a great film, my husband is dead now, but he used to work hard and at the weekends i'd go party. You know what I mean?" I'd respond "Uhh yeah."
So I'm walking back from the beach and this dude holds out his hand at me. it's a grubby ass hand so I assume he wants money and just walk on. Then he's shouting at me walking behind me. "Hey can i not get a 5! Where you from buddy? You wanna live? You punk ass bitch go back to where you come from! I'll knife you in the head buddy. You wanna live? Keep walking buddy!" So I have no idea what's up with that, but assume he's just some stupiud drunk ass hobo and walk on. Last thing I want is gettin' arrested or some shit in Santa Cruz. And yeah, I guess I wanted to live.
At night I go check out the busto ass cards room. where they run a 1/3 game where the max bet is 100 and on the wall it reads "Check and then raise is legal" lolololol wtf. I need to go there and take a picture of that sign for you guys. So the players are all the usual weak passive and defend their blinds 100% of the time. I had to tighten my stealing ranges a little as a result and broke even after being really really card dead for 2 hours. Can't wait for vegas and decent regular games. That starts Saturday.
Last night I go wandering again and see what I can find in the way of company. There really isn't much to pick from. i speak to one dude who then tells me that A: He's gay, B: He has a massive dick and C: I'm hot. Despite this he was a pretty chilled dude so i had a beer with him before heading on. I couldn't be bothered with the bullshit of approaching loads of random people in this town filled with families, kids and bums, so just went and slept at a lame ass time - not very ballin I know
I'm heading back to San Fran tomorrow to sleep before my early morning flight to Vegas. defo going to stay in hostels when I get there and look to meet a few people and drink/party etc before I get fully stuck into the pokers. Traveling alone is fine and all but in the words of Alexander Supertramp: "Happiness is only real when shared" There's a lot of truth in that so yeah could do with a bit more company other than Californian leeches trying to bum my cigarettes every 3 fucking seconds. Hotels are really cheap here CBAT like $20 a night for a motel, or if you wanna pay slightly more you can get a really nice room in a casino hotel. I'll be here till the end of August. As for Booger, who knows.
So been here in Vegas for over 24 hours now. It's pretty epic. I arrived yesterday afternoon and almost burned to a crisp just trying to find this hostel I'm staying at now. It's like $15 a night for a bed here and everyone in my room just lives by night and sleeps all day so it works out pretty well. The dude on the bunk under mine happens to be Scottish which is kind of refreshing since i hadn't heard a scottish accent in 2 weeks.
Last night I headed to the Golden Nugget and played some 200NL. I ran like Jesus on acid and won like $800 pretty quickly by getting dealt JJ and flopping top set 3 times in like 25 hands. It's fun to get paid for monstroes. I met this Indian stoner dude there and we went and got fucked up on jack and weed after spewing $50 on blackjack. Lesson learned, don't play table games! They do have all these weird card games I've never seen so kinds tempted to try them out. STaggered all thew way home to my hostel at like 8am (in Vegas you party late) I was an absolute wreck, i seem to remember smoking the rest of the blunt I had and staggering down the road fucked up. I stopped and talked to some homeless dude for like 10 mins, I have no clue what it was about. All I know is his name is Paddy but he likes to be called Jason...
Today I'm going to head back to the Golden Nugget and play more pokars and win more monies. An upgrade of living arrangement is in order - at least temporarily, i want my own room for a few days and what better place to live than in the golden nugget. I love that place they have like a swimming pool with flumes and stuff with a shark tank next to a bar and blackjack tables, it's so ballin'.

I've extended my stay in the G-Nug because as they say "Life is good in the G-Nug" Last night I played for like 6 hours, broke even in cash despite the games being ridiculously soft, sucks to be card dead in these games because man all you have to do is get into pots with these tards. You actually have to iso like 8x and shit if you want any chance of a c-bet having FE postflop, but there's so much money to be made just from premiums and getting into limped multiway pots that I've decided isoing wide is just burning monies needlessly in a lot of spots. Played a $100 tourney and took 2nd for $400 (lame size of field in this casino) so ended up +300 which makes me +1000 so far in like 3 days. Hopefully things will continue this way. Gonna go play a tourney at Binion's tonight because, man, people actually have no idea wtf they're doing and it's so profitable. My tourney game imo is pretty damn good despite being mainly a cash player, and I actually enjoy them more. More of a buzz at the final table and satisfying to make monies from.
I've been awesome so far at not playing any table games really at all, despite the vast array of tempting possibilities. Feel like this is becoming more of a poker holiday for now, so just going to play a whole bunch and then look at partying later on, I've got another 4.5 weeks here, it's crazy.

Total is currently +400 from pokars in the shitty amount of hands live full ring allows. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
