Ok this will be the discussion thread of a prop bet for Bode-ist and I. We both have threads on the go for our own missions, so instead of cluttering those, we'll use this. It'll make it easier to communicate the whole race. So, This is from my thread.

Well, most($700 or so) of it is at Crypto. I have about 20 or 30 players holding it for me. I have $102 on Poker Plex and $50 on stars for tourneys. That money has been there forever. I have had it to $100 and down to $7. That could be a whole other thread. I also Deposited the rest of my roll,$250 on Full Tilt( Bad idea ) I am at $179 in two days playing $10NL.

So In all, I have:
$ 102
$ 50
$ 179 = for a grand total of $321, plus some rakeback, coming on Poker plex. Bode, A prop bet would be good, for both of us. We will discuss the rules, I'm open for anything. I want to try playing a few more tourneys and S&G's as well. I was killing them on stars last night. My roll was at $27 before I started.

>Bonuses count, Rakeback does not. No tourney's I need to work this out somehow, I want to play some on weekends. If I move my roll to stars, I may put a little in another site, or leave some in Full tilt for this.

Then $3 were retarded easy last time I played, almost folded ITM a couple times. Should be able to knock those down >20% ROI I would think, maybe approach $5/hr?

so, $50 prop bet for whover makes it to $50nl the fastest. we need to hammer out the details. I think we should count bonus money. I dont have RB, but i know you do. so its up to you whether it counts or not. are we talking only ring games? i hope were not counting tournaments becuase first off, i dont play any ATM, and second if someone hits one tourney big the bet is over.

let me know what you think.

Fair enough, I only have rakeback on Crypto. Full tilt is an old account from my early days, when I opened up accounts everywhere to see where I wanted to play. I won't be playing crypto and earning rakeback because they only have $25NL and up. I will be getting rake from them and I will let you know how much I get and discount it. I keep editing the first thread to include the details. Fair enough if bonus counts. I have one on the go at FT but we know I can't clear that at $10NL and I might leave their anyway.

The whole idea here is for us both to get a 1k bankroll and move to $50NL ring, so only ring will count. Bonuses count, because again it's about bankroll (and whoring is good for the bankroll). Rakeback will not count, and I have no idea even if I will use my rake since it's added right to my neteller. If I bust I will be using it as a new start,

Side bets are allowed, you cannot use them as part of the roll I will think about my site and plan tonight and over the weekend. Have at 'er

WOOT, first time I've moved ahead in three months. It would seem that with both of us, playing may be the biggest detriment to our bankrolls.

Haha, nice. I Just stomped an a FTR $5NL table to win 3 buy ins for a whopping $14. I turned it around a little at Full tilt, up 2.5 buy-ins today. So as it stands, I have $43 on stars, $109 on crypto without the rakeback and $211 on Full Tilt, For a grand total of $363. Hah, I'm still in it. But I do need to turn that ring game around, for more than one session anyway.

On a side note, I lost a lot of time today installing a dishwasher. We haven't had one in this house since we moved in. That original $300 I withdrew that started this whole BR destruction is finally done. Never will I withdraw anything again to buy something that I had to work at. I'm a printer, by trade. Now I'm a plumber, electrician, carpenter and demolition expert all rolled into one neat package. Excuse me while I jump in this phone booth and put on my poker player outfit. Damn tights shrunk in the wash.

Seriously Bode, power to ya if you keep that time line. I'll gladly pay the piper. I only need to get $7 more in stars for the transfer.

Hi guys,

First of all Good Luck! I have a $610 BR at the moment after deciding that I stop playing low buy-in SNG's (too many donkeys for high variance) and concentrate on 6-max cash games instead. I did start with $500. I don't want to hi-jack your thread but I will be looking in and compare your results to mine.

Current situation:
3-table $10NL 6-max tables on Stars to clear bonus
Then take roll to Empire to clear sign-up bonus (two tabling 25NL 6-max)
Take roll to Pokeroom to clear sign-up bonus over there
Take roll to Bodog to clear 10% bonus + RB
Then clear the never-ending bonus on UB and Doyles (small part of the roll on each site)

Since I started playing exclusively cash games I'm up +$110 for 9BB/100.

My latest post in my Drive thread. I think I may have it figured out Bode. Not Poker in general, but my leak, my biggest leak. Let's see how it goes. Hope it's going good for you. I had a fairly bad day yesterday but ended up getting another$20 in bonus so I have the same $200 or so on Full tilt. I have only $30 left on Stars, and my original $109 still on crypto which I'm waiting for my rakeback transfer from last month to clear and it's ON. We will see how tonight fares, I may live or die on the next few nights. I'm getting enough hands, not enough sleep and I'm learning alot with all the reading I'm doing. If I fix the leak that's causing my slide. I may be right on your tale. Maybe I can get some work done during the day too.

Play rested. You can't force yourself to win, and playing tired leads to bad decisions.

Congrats on finding that leak, now you just have to prove to yourself that you can fix it. Im pretty sure you and I have talked about this (stacking off or even just going too deep with TP/overpair hands) before. I have known this is a leak of mine for sometime now and feel that i have come a long way in correcting it since starting over this year. I still overvalue these hands occasionally, but its becoming less frequent each time i play.

since starting over with $200 on Jan 2, I have made $135 at $10nl over 11k hands running around 6.5BB/100. Im playing better poker than i ever have and expect it to continue. My BR is sitting at $355 and I should finish clearing my Stars redeposit bonus tonight and that will put my BR over the $400 mark.

I have a $100 pending bonus at AP, so i need to move my roll over there soon because it expires on Feb 13th. I really dont want to move off of Stars right now because the game there is soooo incredibly soft and there is so much traffic. AP has no traffic whatsoever, but i need to just tough it out and finish the bonus fast.

PokerOffice also doesnt support AP, so i will be playing blind while i am there. I have also used up my trial for PT. I uninstalled/reinstalled it several times but now I get a message saying that i can no longer even do that, so if anyone knows how to work around this, send me a PM or post in my operation thread.

I fully expect to be rolled for $25nl in no more than 2 weeks.

I have a couple quick questions for the ballers and wannabies reading this thread. Just sort of a mini poll.

1) How many hands do you have in poker tracker or in poker in general.
2) How high of a stake do you play at on a regular basis and are BR'd for.
3) Have you ever had to drop down, was it harder/easier to move down and/or back up.
4) What would you do differently if you had to start over, to get to a higher limit or get their faster.

Here is my reason for asking, I have over 120k hands in PT and am just trying to get out of $10NL for the second time. I possibly could have been playing much higher by now with a few less mistakes. Like playing micro on stars for too long without bonuses and rakeback. Like playing above my roll too often even after I understood bankroll managment. Like moving from site to site to get bonuses, good first deposit bonuses, and not having enough of a roll to max them out. Like not being able to play good enough poker to actually earn the full bonus. And finally, Casino whoring with much needed bankroll when I should have been playing poker first.

It's not the amount, it's the angle of the graph. I really was wondering if they actually went up. I thought it was all a function of microsoft paint.

p.s. 10 buy-ins WOOT

I am $400 on tilt and $110 in my Neteller that used to be in crypto. The $154 rakeback from dec. is MIA, so without it I' m $500 not counting about $40 is stars for tourneys and FTR fun. I may take a shot tonight. I'm 6 tabling $10NL right now making sure my game is there not just running good. Not sure what FT is like at $25NL but we'll see, I may datamine for a bit.

I took my shot, not good. I may post some hands when I get home. Bad, bad suckouts. I was beat by quads TWICE, in 400 hands. Not for stacks by the way, GG me. I dropped $60 and am back at $440 or so. I was going to give myself 4 buy ins and things were going great, I was up 1, then even, down one, then even. I even at one time had 2 buy ins on 2 of 6 tables. I may go back to $10NL and build a little more cushion. Easily beatable, even at Full Tilt. Just can't handle negative variance first. I was tilting and had to shut it down. If I can get a couple buy ins first, i'll be rolling. But for now, back to $10NL for a day or two.

i took a shot at $25nl on some juicy tables tonight. I ran really well over ~700 hands but lost 2/3 of my profit when i pushed over a c-bet 3 handed with an OESFD and didnt hit. Oh well. Playing there also helped clear some of the hands for my bonus monies so i can get the hell off of AP.

May I ask what your experience with AP is? I have an account there I never funded and was wondering how the software/style of play/bonus clearance is going for you?

I've heard bad things about AP bonuses. As in they take the liberty to change the wagering requirements

I couldn't find any juicy tables on my shot last night. Alot of nits and sLAGG's. Most 6 max were running 28% or 29% VP$P and 9% or 10% PFR%. If I got on one that was better, it switched in a hurry. Long story short, dropped 5 buy-ins, $130 (thanks Spenda ), so my roll is at a cool $410 or so. Back down I go. I may not be trying another $25NL run at Full Tilt. I think I suck against a table full of nits. I open up too much, I over play my TP'TK hands. All my old leaks come out, and destroy my confidence. I'm going to kill $10NL again tonight, then figure it out. If I can regain my $500 roll tonight, I may take another shot, if I can keep replacing the lost buy-ins. The last 3 sessions at $10NL have been around 20+BB/100. As for the OESFD, I rarely seem to hit them when i need them either. Last night, I hit alot of sets, most where with KK, QQ, AA and my C-bets were folded to. Getting my hands paid on those tables is rough. I need to small ball those tables and stop looking for the homerun. Maybe we should hit another site and run a bonus or two together. Interpoker has some nice bonuses and rakeback, and the Crypto $25NL is as soft as any around, Sept maybe the Bodog, but there are no tables to drop downs to $10NL if things go wrong.

Bode?? do you have Aim or MSN, if so give me a ding.

Im going to stick with my play for right now. Finish clearing the AP bonus which will put me over $500 if i run normal and then move over to Full Tilt where i still have $350 of bonus monies to clear before March 15th.

My AIM is at the bottom of my posts, i think. Hit me up sometime.

TJ,

Never posted here before but have been reading a while and following your progress. I play at your level and have experienced some of the same problems as you. Been getting the urge to post lately and something about your recent experience at 25NL made me feel compelled to post.

YOu certainly had some tough beats recently but it seems to me you should have been able to get away from a couple of those. I read antonio Esfandiari's book here a while ago, and while it was nothing special, one thing stuck out in my mind. He says you make money at this game by learning how to fold.

I think what he's trying to say is, you'll get your big hands and get paid off on them but don't then turn around and give it back when your on the flip side. For example, what hand were you expecting to beat with the quad jacks? He reraised you pf , called your flop bet and just kept coming. Did you think he had AK?

Not trying to bust you or anything. Wishing you the best of luck. Just thought these thoughts might help.

Welcome, Xianti will be proud that my moronic poker game is bringing the lurkers in to post. Your right in the fact that my biggest leak is not recognising when they have me beat. I take TP to far against resistance. It's been a problem ever since I tried to be more aggressive. Now I think eveyone is just playing back. When I play a littel tighter and a little more aware of opponents, I do well. when I get aggessive at tight tables, or play back at LAGGs I think are always stealing and trying to buy pots, I get in big trouble.

Again, welcome, Post more.

Nice early jump, it's a gamble, but if it works, rock and roll. You still have to play at a stake you haveen't seen for a bit. Your on a site that is typically tougher than some ( Prima comes to mind ). Take the out, no chance in hell.

On a side note, this better end soon or this will be a lonely thread for just the two of us, nobodys gioing to watch this for 6 months. Let's take it up a notch. By friday night, I move up to $20NL with whatever I have in my roll. Yep, Prima has $20NL, meaning I only need $00 to move up. I have $300+ in there now, + that $154 MIA dollars.

$20nl sounds like a good idea. AP allows 200bb's on all there tables, so i have been putting $20 on their $10nl tables, but the bonus clears way too slow. And from what i hear of Neteller's unstable situation, i want to get the bonus done and transfer my money to a better site ASAP.

I saw that Neteller quit the Instacash option, but can you still transfer between sites?
