I then played some cash. As people busted out they had 3 cash games going of 1/2NL with two must move tables. Did pretty well in the cash game...the skill level actually seemed to be better than that of Turning Stone, but it was still nothing too difficult. I'll probably be attending about once or twice a week and just playing mostly cash (because I'm horrible at donkaments).

I've had to settle for poker clubs as well. This one I attend is a degen donkfest. Funsies!

I went again last night and dropped about a buyin at 1/2. I didn't play the tournament and plan to do the same everytime I go. I ran a big bluff in 3bet pot as villian flopped middle set and priced myself in unfortunately... and lost a 40/60 std flip on flop for 3/4 of a stack. I felt that I played well minus the mistake in the 3bet pot by not focusing on villians stack size.
Had a great weekend with T, makes me miss her more and 1 week until new job starts!

Started my new position today with the bank. Small Sample Size: going to do well and learn a ton and definitely room for growth within the private banking sector.
Also played last night in the underground game and +232bb ftw. Hit top set in 8way raised pot for about 300bb pot. Max buyin is 150bb and I plan to do that from now on as I like the preflop freedom vs larger stacks.

First week at the new job almost in the books. Getting my computer today, so that'll be nice. Just trying to get everything situated and clean up the mess the last guy left.
Played poker for about 4 hours last night for +33 bux. Got caught 3 barrel bluffing when river hit such a small part of his range forcing him to call.

Hey buddy. Hope your live grind is going well.
I'm not positive if you have an Android phone or not but if you do, download 'Poker Session Logger' for your phone. It's an easy way to keep track of your win/loss record.

I have the iPhone and don't see it anywhere. I just use an excel sheet that I enter into when I get home from playing. I wish there were higher games spread somewhere locally. Gotta travel 1.75+ hours to get anything higher than 1/2 as far as I know.

Updates coming soon. Nothing too crazy going on, workin that 8-5 and keeping consistent with the weight room. My girlfriend moved in for the summer and is working nearby. Everything has been going good here. She's going home to visit her family for the weekend, so I'm going to hit the links with dad and go to the casino for a day or two and play some POKER!

lol golf...
Woke up at about 7am to go golfing with the fam on Saturday. Played the worst round of the year. I probably lost close to double digit balls off the tee >_< needless to say I stopped keeping score halfway through the front 9. Hitting the ball high and 300 yards is not always a blessing because as it goes offline, the height of my shot makes the ball seem as it just keeps going. Anyways, I finished the back 9 with two pars and a bogey, so that made me at least somewhat satisfied.
All in, 100bb more...
I then ventured to the casino with a friend and a friend of a friend. My plan was to play Saturday afternoon/night and then come back Sunday morning and get another 6-8 hours of grinding in. Well Mr. friend of a friend wasn't a poker player and complained about the idea of going back the second day so I only got to play one day. About 10 hours worth of 2/5 where I battled my way to ship a $76 win.
Started off with a little bit of 1/2 and I picked up some small pots. I lost a ~100bb pot with AA, when I barreled all 3 streets in the cutoff vs BU on JKQ74 board. Villain called river reluctantly and I flipped AA, I made a comment to the guy in the blinds who joked about me being a chop blocker, the dealer began gathering the chips together, and then villain slowly flips over K7. I look at him and ask him "really gunna slow roll me like that?" He claims he thought he had K3...No more than 3 hands later I get called over to 2/5.
I build up a nice little 150bb stack in the first hour and am sitting in the BB. The CO who was playing about 40/30 and had raised a couple cbets already made it 4x. I 3bet 4x to $80 and he flatted. Flop came 7c2h3h. I sat on AQ, I cbet $80. He thought for about 90 seconds and made it $210, I then shoved my stack for about 100bb more. He tanked for a little while and called. He flips 56hh and I am excited about how good of a position I'm in. Turn black......river 8h ldo FTL.
Anyways I rebuy/tilt/topoff, etc. Eventually I double up about 70bbs with TP2ndK and a flush draw, all in on flop vs a weaker FD. Then at about 1am I pick up QTs in CO+2 I made it $20 all day and get called by CO and BU. Flop comes T64tt, I cbet $40 and they both insta call. Turn Q, I make it $120. Cutoff folds and BU calls. At this point I'm sitting with about $350 left behind. River is a J and doesn't complete either FD. I ponder for a while and eventually knowing he will not call me with worse, but will bet his whole range here, as he was a pretty nitty older man and would only be calling turn with a FD or a set -_- Anyways, sure enough he shoves, I tank/call and flip over my QT and he mucks. I play for another hour, bleed off some chips and walk away with $76 extra dollars for my 10 hours of work. Just beat minimum wage. GG
