There's a Djing forum I go on which has rep points, where you can give a post positive or negative reputation points if you like and this reflects publicly on the user's "rating". There are so many brilliantly helpful posts on FTR, I feel it would be good to instigate some kind of system like this. I regularly read quality posts (which make me monies in the long term) and I feel it would be nice if we could give our quality posters something back... Plus we could seperate the helpful people from the idiots pretty quick.

I think it's pretty obvious who the ppl with the best advice are. I don't see the point in this, it can often just lead to bruised egos.

Xianti has disabled reputation
We'd considered doing just this a while ago. I think it's a good idea. I'll look to see if there's a phpBB mod that does this.

i noticed that some people have disabled the rep. how is that possible? as ash said it separates the the help from idiots...however there in lies the problem. if you make a post and a person doesn't agree with it then they just do a disagree choice for every other post you make which makes for sore egos.
i personally dont like it, but thats just me.

and no it's not because i have a red box...my favorite color is red.

I tried and tried as well. I think only admins can do it. It's in the "edit user profile" control panel, but I can't change the settings, mods can only change sigs. I was hoping to be like Burgundy by now, but mine is green and I have a rep to consider and these icons don't understand a rep at all.
