reeelaaaax paige...you posted a bad beat story as your intro which are generally frowned upon as unneccessary whining by most of the regulars and there was nothing sexist in any of the comments. Don't get offended so easily and stick around long enough and you'll find that this is a very friendly place.

Welcome to FTR.

I disagree with my statement being sexist. I love women. Perhaps what I said was in fact innapropriate, though given the history with people seeking passwords and writing up silly posts to try and make themselves look active in the forums, I stand by my words as being fair and am quite surprised the thread didn't get derailed as badly as the rest do.

I also didnt realize winkybok is actually serious about poker given her first impression, but if that is the case, welcome to the forums. Perhaps starting an operation thread detailing your current progress will help everyone get to know where you stand and be able to give you the appropriate advice.

We can take this as far as we want--in any human activity there is always a higher level to which we can aspire."

Wow. If this is serious, then you clearly have no clue what sexism is. Which in this day and age is scary.

Yes, there is a problem with freetrollers, but your response was inappropriate whether she is a freetroller or not.

FWIW, I thought her opening two posts were not nearly as bad as some of the obvious freetrolling efforts. Don't get me wrong, they weren't great, but at least they were a few lines long, asked a question or two, and attempted to start some sort of poker-related discussion. A lot of the ones I see are two-word replies that add nothing and in most cases aren't even related to the discussion they're posted in.

I think in this case you have to give her some benefit of the doubt.

Wow! I thought by posting my introduction under tilt was being humorous. Apparantly I was wrong. I'm still not sure where to post my intro but since I have your attention let me try again.
My name is Paige. I'm a regular at Mohegan Sun casino in CT. I started at Foxwoods. I was born a gambler. I started playing poker with my grampa over breakfast. ( I also like the pups and ponies, boy i could share a bad beat from the dog track..lol) Anyway, I am not here for any other reason than to talk poker and meet like-minded people. I have apparantly upset some folks so my apologies. I am new to online poker and forums. I always try to be respectful and expect the same in return.Thanks...Love and Light...Paige

Also Tony are you single? You seem to be giving winkybok alot more credit than any other (male) freetrollers. Pretty sexist imo.

I don't care if winkybok is male, female, both, or neither. I'll almost certainly never meet her irl, and to be perfectly frank I have no desire to, so it really is irrelevant. But I do care about being part of a healthy and friendly online poker community. Do you?

I got no problem with you taking on the freetrollers. But how about:
(a) Picking obvious freetrollers rather than people who might (or might not) be, and
(b) Not crossing the line into sexual harassment, like you did here - surely thats not what FTR is about
