This is a tough hand. To some its an easy fold because its tough call. He might have 33 a suited K or A-3. I doubt he has 10-kk-aa or anything real strong being under the gun and limpimg which means he's inexperienced or its an aggressive table and he knows someones gonna raise it up. I would have led out on the flop (not that it would change the outcome of the hand). I like that your reraise. Turn bet was fine maybe a little more but i understand your thaught process. I honestly put this guy on A-Jd or Kd-Q Kd-J and if i put him on one of these hands im calling. I honestly believe its one of those three so i probably would have called. I mean limping from UTG from a LAG means A-J or low PP or like a K-J they just don't like to fold preflop ever from any possition. I hardly ever limp UTG i'm either raising or folding. But thats me.

I was pretty enamoured as to why he was evaluating the flop, when the river is what concerns us.

is it that because its a diamonds flop the only suited cards hes likely to be playing are diamonds or cards ytuhat give two pairs. Could the half pot bet on the turn have led villain to think that you were on a flush draw and was raising to price out your draw. Or that the Ace had given you trips and his flush was good, or the ace gave him trips/full house and he thoought he was ahead of a flush draw.
By the river your check could be shutting down after a missed flush draw so any sets/trips/boats/ two pairs and flushes he had may be best may be best.
therefore my range for villain is any two diamonds ,ATs,ATo,JQs,JQo,A2+,TT,33,AA,KK

I'd probably have gone all-in at that point. The likelihood that he has the Kdiamonds is slim to none (possible but slim to none). My money is on him having an Ace and therefore hitting a set by the turn. This is a perfect time to push it.

What do people limp from UTG +1?

Their limp range here is probably something like Axs, Kxs, 22-TT Maybe some suited connectors and one gappers? and AA if they have a bug up their butt when they make the play.

I'd think that this is at least a call on the river

Hoopy is an unknown quantity at this point
I call this, very unlikely he has Kd or a full house but I'd prefer to play it safe and just call. But that might be the weak tight coming out in me.

Royal.. I highly doubt villain is making this play with hands like Qc9c, QsTc, etc. When you put in XYs, it puts in every combination of XYs. That means it puts in XhYh, XcYc, XsYs, XdYd. Well in this case, since the board is diamonds, you don't really expect him to be playing a play here with total air, which you have him doing a good % of the time because you are calculating for hands such as Qc9c, etc.
