sort of new to FTR, read a lot of posts and see all those signatures with your BR goals and stuff...so i was just curious,

for all you guys with eleventybillionK in your bankroll, when are you gonna take out a big chunk o that money? or are you gonna sit around with it until the government finds out and takes half?

also waiting on my new credit card and wanna play online. any tips on bonus whoring to build a bankroll of sorts would be appreciated. unless you think i should just go after it on stars armed only with my skillz and and a roll of 5s.

i'm kinda partial to the latter. but then, i'm a total BAMF when i sit down at a table.

There's a ton of money in bonuses, and bonuses do not exclude awesome poker play. In fact, they work perfectly together.

You'll find a ton of decent info in the Online Poker section of FTR. There is specific info in "whoring tips" thread -- long, but a good read.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

Of course you know which one I chose...check out my sig.

My BR is a combination of the two, though. I'd say about 30-40% of it has come from bonuses, the rest is straight profit. I haven't touched my BR and don't plan on touching it until it gets super-huge (right now it's over 5k).

I have taken out two thirds of the money I've won, but then I'm happy at £25NL right now and I know that I need to be more sure of myself before I move permanently to £50NL.

I haven't bonus whored much - I like recommendation whoring, especially at Pacific ($50 dollars when you recommend someone who depositis $20 or more).

I started out pretty much as a bonus-whore. After a certain point, bonuses didn't pay as well as just playing. I'd still take advantage of any I can, but since I've moved to specializing in SnGs, there's not a lot of site that offer good SnG bonuses, and I've found that a good blind structure is more important to my profits than bonuses.
I run a training site...

Yeah my super huge 'roll that got cashed out :P

As for cashing out parts of the roll ive done this so far

Started with $100 when reached $200 took out $50
Then when reached $400 took out $100
etc
SO if my roll was $1800 when i cashed it out for uni i made approximatly $500 in cash outs before i cashed out my 'roll.
For all those with huge rolls i did this simply to show i had some profit for making poker (my mom was extremly happy i bought her some flowers, some expensivvvve ones with my poker winnings!) It was also for that feel good feeling that i spend 5+hrs a day on a computer for a reason.
im such a geek

I started with an initial deposit of $50 at Ultimate Bet. After stupidly playing a $20 multitable tourney and losing, I've worked my way up from $30 to $172 at the micro tables ($10 NL Tables). I'm building that up to around $225 before I move up in stakes. I don't plan on taking anything out until I hit a grand.

I do have some credit card bills that need paying off.

AHEM.

I prefer the title "Advantage Player" to "Whore". I play advantage poker, and even though I make money off of players at NL$25, over the long haul, I have made much more money off the casinos themselves, via their bonus offerings.

As of tonight my current BR is a little under $500.I play .50/1 Limit on the Party skins mainly, and bonus chasing helped me build my recent initial deposit of $250 to that $491 mark. Not too shabby in my opinion considering the suckouts and outdraws;although the players on the Party skins are soooooooooo loose that it makes back up for it.

I'm going to do my best to not reach into my BR unless for emergency situations(currently I am still searching for a full time job while working part time,I keep around $200 in my checking account which I usually don't use anyways.

i haven't withdrawn a cent of my bankroll yet. There is just so much more money to be made if you have a big bankroll, so i just keep building and building. I'm going to have to stop and spend some money soon though i guess.

now that i've gotten up to a good BR for 2/4 ($1200) now i'm just withdrawing $100 for every $200 I make. I'm also doing this because I don't want to move up to quickly, I want to feel very confident in my expierience and play style before I tackle 3/6.

My first and last deposit was on sportingbet. Only 1 bonus, cleared in 3 days, after that I have never changed room. I just can't leave those fishes that call down my valuebets to the river or call pushes with worse kicker.

It would suck to change room for mere $50 bonus and join a some rock quarry on the Stars...
