I thought it was the right call, and even though I lost I'd do this again every time, I think. I like hands where you don't spend that much money, are the favorite, and don't have to make any post-flop decisions.

If you don't push him preflop, are you going to fold to his small bet on any flop other than maybe AKQ suited?

So long as you get him isolated one on one its the right play. You were the favorite when all the money went it.
