Hey guys, at the start of last month i decided to start grinding the micro-limits on PP again, to see if all the extra info/advice I've read on this here forum had made me a better player. As the end of the month is near, i thought i'd work out my BB/100. Since I don't have Pokertracker I've done it manually, but I'm not certain my sums are correct. Can anyone confirm/correct my math?

Total hands played = 5930
Profit = $72.36
Stakes = .02/.04

Soooo...

72.36/0.04 = 1809
5930/100 = 59.3

1809/59.3 = 30.51bb/100

Have i done that right?? I know it's quite a small sample size, but that seems really high to me.

i think you are correct, but if you are playing NL, you need to double you big blinds.

in limit, the 2nd number in 1/2 is the big bet bcause that is what the bets become on the turn. the blinds at this level are .50/1, though.

so, you have to transfer it over to NL, also.

you play .02/.04? that means your "big bet" is actually .o8 because the .02/.04 are only the blinds...not the bet sizes.

in other words, cut your win rate that you calculated in half, and you get...15.255/100.

lingo aid...the .o4 is the "big blind," the .08 is the "big bet" in NL. the .08 is also called a PTBB...or a "pokertracker big bet."

hope that helps.

Ya whenever you make 18 buyins in 6k hands expect to have a high bb/100.
You are running pretty good.

I always take my ptbb/100 and x2 since i'm not a limit person i like thinking in big blinds

that has GOT to make you feel much better when a guy says he's killing a game at 6ish.

and you run over 10 with your eyes closed.

its really tough to get an accurate bb/100 in micro NL. There are just so many varieables, coolers, people stacking off with nothing ect. I really think its almost impossible to reaally know your winrate untill you move up to at least 25NL
