Over my last 11,000 hands I have a won at showdown stat of just under 45% (I went to showdown almost 20% of the time). Now I know that last year, after about 30,000 hands, it was 54% and I was fairly happy with that. However, my BB/100 stat is marginally higher now, so is this figure one I should be worrying about?

My theory/hope is that it is a reaction to being too weak tight - I am now staying in more pots when I can do so cheaply, and making more crying calls on the river when I am getting, say, 4:1 or better odds. But is this, in itself, bad play? Any other thoughts, or advice, or shared experiences?

Renton will become famous soon enough
Supposedly, if you have W$@SD less than 50, you are making bad calls.

Supposedly, if you have W$@SD more than 55, you aren't getting enough value out of marginal situations (e.g. not flipping with shorties, not protecting your blinds, not playing draws aggressively).

FWIW mine hovers around 52.
