Y'all-

First off, I want to thank everyone for all their contributions. I'm essentially brand new to the game (about the first of the year -- really only about a month online), and I know that I would be clueless without the help of y'all.

Right now, I'm curious where I should go from where I am. Here's my history: I threw $50 at Full Tilt, and lost it within about a week. After this, I found FTR, and signed up for the instant bankroll, and got a $100 at PP. Once I cleared that bonus, I was at about $93. So, I threw that back in FTP, to get the $50 worth of bonus (the 100% match of my original pissed away deposit) -- and I'm almost completed with that. Right now, my balance is about $136, with $10 in bonus remaining.

I've really started to settle into a nice groove -- and here's my next two goals...and I'm curious as to your opinions on how to meet them:

1. After clearing the FTP bonus, I want to run my account to $500 so that I can be properly rolled for $25NL. I really don't want to use up a good bonus to do this -- because I'd really like to take advantage of the good bonuses AFTER I have the bankroll and level to get the most money, and clear them with relative speed.

(wow -- that was long...haha)

2. I want to hit the bonuses hard, in hope of reaching $10k six months from the day I clear my FTP bonus. Is this at all possible? I'm willing to work quite hard at it -- but I obviously want to set a reasonable goal.

Let me know your opinions, and what you think. I've already purchased PokerTracker, so I want to make sure that whatever place I move to can use that software easily...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best,
EW

It's possible, but it definitely depends on your skill level and the amount of hours you can put in.

Playing many tables, you could pretty feasibly run it up to 10K without moving past 25NL if you could put in the time.

If you're asking where to play, you definitely need to play somewhere that has limits low enough for your bankroll. You should be playing 5NL or maybe 10NL (but if you run bad at 10NL, you need to drop back). Those limits are so easy to beat that you can generally get away with a few less buy-ins, but you still don't want to stick around for a downswing.

You need to make it to 25NL, and then I would move to Party. I'm partial to party, however; there might be better sites out there.

I would say casino dot net also. While its a contributed rake bonus you can play it at the 10NL and clear it just fine. But since its a contributed rake bonus it will take alittle longer to finish. But it pays out $30 when you get so far and then $70 when you finish. You can find it in EasyT's guide up in the sticky's of this section.

Thanks for all the opinions.

I finished up my FTP bonus, and then shot over to Casino.net, where I have about 140 hands left to get my bonus.

I wanted y'all to review my numbers from my last FTP session...am I not betting enough post-flop and turn? I appear to end up at showdown A LOT.

678 hands

126 flops
64 turns
34 rivers
24 showdowns

WINS:
3 PF
8 F
1 T
3 R
19 SH

As another note: the people at Casino.net are CRAZY. I'm running at about 12bb/hr (in a small sample), but these people make you want to tear your hair out.

Best,
EW

yes, casinoDOTnet is crazy
remember that most are casino gamblers and find poker boring so they bet way too much to make it interesting and there is also some that don't bet there hands(pure calling stations even with the nuts)

or they are all crazy eastern europeans

I just finished that bonus last week and the swings were very dramatic
up 7buyins
down 9(tilt, alcohol, bad beats, and bad play)
up 3 and got the hell out of there ---doubling my bankroll with the bonus
good luck
