Where is the cutoff between micro-limit and low limit tables? Are you out of the micro-limits once you start playing at a $1/$2 table?

elipsesjeff is an unknown quantity at this point
I think micro ends around the .5/1 game. You need a good $300 BR to play there and it goes up from there.

You could make a case that the .5/1 is a micro game at Party, but at Stars the .5/1 game is actually very tight, so it also depends on the poker site. I say at Stars the microlimit ends at the .25/.5 game.

As someone who is poker booklearned with limited experience and continuing to develop their skills, I have found this to be a good game to do so with minimal risk. Would you agree?

Yes. $.25/50 is considered "low limit" and is a good place to start.

I think the term "micro" limit and "low" limit are relative to the size of your bankroll.

If you have a million dollar BR then 15/30 could be considered low limit.

My understanding of conventional wisdom re: online poker is that "micro" limit is big blind under $.50. This would include the .01/.02 and .05/.10 games.

$.25/.50 NL would be considered the low end of "low limit" as would $.50/1 limit. This is a good place to start.

However, the most important thing to keep in mind is playing within your own bankroll. Even at "low limit" .25/50 you are going to buy-in for around $25-$50 sometimes more depending on the site. At .50/1 NL and 2/4 limit I usually buy in for a minimum of $100.00. So make sure you have a couple hundred bucks to grease the wheels before you start at "low" limit.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!
