I put him on two pair or a straight (maybe a straight draw?) on the turn, which is why i checked the river.

On a related note, the % of hands I'm playing in those tournaments has gone down lately (about 10% of flops). It seems like I frequently get pushed out of hands, possibly through pure agression, so I've started playing almost only pairs (only high ones to a raise), AK, AQ, AJ, KQ. I played KT for a raise in this hand because I felt like I had been too tight lately.

Also, I'm new, and thanks for the help.

If you put him on a straight you shouldnt call his raise just planning to check/fold the river. If he has that hands your call wont slow him down on the river, and your just giving away free money.

I dont know why you put him on a straight i dont see him raising your flop bet with AT or calling preflop with T9.

I would think he probobly has AK, KQ, or maybe KJ all of which have you beat and you should fold on the river. Only call the turn if you have odds for your straight.

Why are you making a minimum raise with K-10 from first position?

because i am a fish.

also because i'd been seeing about 10% of flops, and just wanted to play a hand. If I had been raised I would have folded though.

On a side note, the cards finally did start coming and I won this tournament.

I figured I had top pair and the inside straight draw, so I'd make a reasonable bet. The reraise caught me off guard and made me think two pair. But if an A, K, or 9 fell I felt pretty good about the hand. Was I not getting odds on calling another 80 on the turn?
