If I am winning, is their a good rule of thumb as to when I should stop playing. (in order to maximize wins/ losses) I was thinking that if i am on a role, I should put enough chips in the bank so I would still be satisfied with my session even if i lost the remainder of my chips. I am new and i play limit because I can't afford NL on Party Poker (according to FTR bankroll strategies)

Are you talking about taking chips off the table so that if you do enter a bit of a cold run, you only lose profit?

You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

I believe that is what he is saying.
It could be a good idea if you're very worried about losing and really want to limit that possibility, but also having a big stack can also help you make bigger stacks.

There's no way that you can avoid cold runs. You just have to grind through them and come out the other side.

Admerylous makes a good point. Use the larger stack to your advantage when you can. I'm sure there are posts around that detail how to take advantage.
