Yeasterday I was getting lots of good cards in EP. High pocket pairs and AK was dealt to me "all the time". I kept raising a standard 4xBB from any position but from EP I ended up winning the blinds and the rest folded. With AK, AQ, AJ I'm happy with the blinds, but I would like some more action for my AA and KK at least. I almost never went to showdown, so noone could really know if I was rasing with strong hands or not.

Do any of you ever change tactic and just call with major hands to get more money in the pot, when the table is this jumpy? Do you raise some trash cards and show them to trick the table?

What I did was to start raising other hands from any position winning some free blind. When i quit for the night I had lost about 75$ to two big losses where I flopped two pairs, went all in and lost to someone flopping higher two pairs....and then I thought of all those big hands that only payed 0.75-1$

Why not try changing your standard raise to 3X BB? My preflop raise is anywhere between 3-5X the BB based on how much my opps are willing to call. If I find I am usually just getting the blinds on my raises, I take it down a notch.

good point! I tend to never vary my preflop raise what ever my cards are. Maybe I should be more flexible.
Still this table called 6xBB when others raised...and I can't see how my table image should have marked me as a dangerous preflop raiser when they saw my cards only once or twice. In fact they never saw a stronger hand than AJ from me.

Ya go to the table where some guy calls a preflop 3xBet with K3o. That's where I'll be. Oh ya, and if you stop by... Respect my raises punk!
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

You have to raise my respect first

I'll look for the K3o table.

I hate tables like that. When a raise like that folds everyone, time to change tables.
I love getting called with K3o/J2o...

Start making the same play with bad cards until they call you or raise you. Then show your trash hand. Nothing like tossing a 57o on the table to give your raises a little less respect. Unsophisticated players will see this and give you tons of action.

I much rather play at a tight table where I can run the show than a table with a bunch of aggros calling and raising with anything.
Light years ahead of the competition.
