I play weekly in a home game with friends and the last time i played, I bought in $8 (standard) and doubled it to 16. I was thinking of cashing out but nobody wanted me to so I continued to play. (I know i shouldn't listend to them). I ended up losing it all. Should I have cashed out my originaly buy-in and only played on the profit? When do you usually cash out?

Not quite. If it's just a home game for $8, I wouldn't worry about it. They'll think you're a douchebag if you just cash out then and there and then rebuy with your profits, because you're taking money off the table. Just keep playing the way you were before and try to keep winning. Otherwise, you may not be invited to the next poker game.

it's a homegame for very low stakes, normally it's more about having fun then winning money from friends. What you should do is try to figure out why you lost all your money.

Cashout whenever you want to go home, not because you hit a certain $$$ amount but because you are done bullshittin' with the boys. When you cash out you are done for the night and you take all of your money off the table.
