whats up with people calling your preflop raises with Ax.... is this a good thing to do or just a moronic play?

i'm obviously writing this because i just got my kings cracked by someone with A6 os

At 25NL, if you raise your KK and see an ace on the flop anyone who sticks around probably has it. Slam a bet downon the flop, and check/fold if they call it.

As for calling raises with Ax, I only do it if x is at least a Queen, and sometimes not even then.
