Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
When you have opp read as a stone cold draw and you have the best hand on the turn.
Personally if i think im ahead i bet the pot on the flop. If i guess someone on a draw then i bet the pot and a little extra (maybe a lot more if i know he'll chase regardless) on the turn card providing i dont think its completed his draw. I dont call a pot bet unless the pot is huge on a draw therefore if others want to call for bad odds, ill make those odds really bad.

Possibly my favourite is if your set improves to a fh by the board pairing (and their is no action) and it gives others a set on a draw free board. This works great as they all call thinking they are ahead.

In agreeance with Miffed22001, definately overbet any hand where you think your opponent has just caught a made hand like a set or straight on the turn or river, yet you still have them beat. I think people are much more likely to call overbets if they have just caught a key card for their hand. Alot of the time it blinds them to the other possiblities out there, and they really only have to call one big overbet to get them into a situation where they might not be able to fold on later streets.

Overbetting can be used a few different ways. Knowing your opponent is on the draw, sometimes requires an overbet to convince him to fold.

My favorite overbetting scenario is against skilled opponents. Often, with heavy preflop betting, less-skilled poker players will move all-in on the flop when they completely miss their hand. Skilled players will call this all-in quickly with mid pair or even overcards sensing their opponents weakness. What I like to do is, after I flop a big hand against a skilled player after heavy preflop betting, I move all-in in what looks like a desperate bluff. This wont necesarilly work if the flop is scary, but if the flop is something like 9-6-3, and you flopped a set of sixes, this is a great opportunity to make this play. I find myself getting called more often than not, usually near the end of MTT's.

Play really laggy with lots of raising and re-raising and when you have a power house bet huge just like you have a powerhouse. If you set up the table right, they won't believe you and you can pull in some big pots.
