so i've been wondering lately if my poker experience is similar to others here. i have never had a really good upswing. i have never had a really bad downswing either. i'd guess that i've played roughly 70k hands mostly of 10NL and 25NL. i win some and then lose some constantly, and it's starting to get very annoying. i know i'm playing against bad players, and i know i don't make the same mistakes they make (ignoring pot odds, ignoring stack sizes, overplaying single pair hands, ignoring position, etc.). i've never had like just a really good week or even really good multiple sessions. i don't know what to make of it. i post hands here when i'm unsure of my play. i play tighter in EP than in LP. i don't just raise premium hands. i'm not a table sheriff. i don't slowplay often. i don't c-bet in bad spots with bad boards. i give draws bad odds, and i don't pay them off when they hit. i don't think it's variance causing this. i am a profitable poker player, and i guess maybe i should be happy about that. but i really feel like i should be more profitable. i'm tired of going up and down constantly and only showing marginal profits. does this stuff sound familiar to anyone else or do i just suck ?

PS - I'm working on flopping more sets

Are you making the same mistakes you make? I'm noticing that has been my big hurdle right now.

Seems like you play as one generally should. Do you
make money constantly? I play with same principles
at 25Nl and make about 1500-2000 month.

I have kept statistics for 5 months now and I have
2/3 winning sessions and 1/3 losing sessions.

Is there possibility that when u lose you get annoyed
and start taking more risks?

Sounds like he doesn't have PT. Get pokertracker. Big time. Absolute best thing to get you focused & informed about your leaks.

Basically, if you're not slaughtering 25NL, you have leaks. You should focus on finding them and fixing them. Focus on all the hands where you lose a good chunk of money, and ask yourself why it happened. Also, post those hands here and let us rip your game to shreds.

Common leaks...

-Holding onto overpairs that are beat
-Not speculating with good pot odds (playing hands like 68s in good spots)
-Not raising reraising enough and/or folding too easily when ahead
-Chasing straights and flushes without implied odds
-Not chasing straights and flushes with implied odds

I could go on and on, but it's your job to identify these things. To answer your question, I don't know what's up with your game. I haven't seen it.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

thanks guys so far. i have PT, but i played for a long time without it so i don't have a good number yet for longterm winrate. i guess i'll just start posting my suck hands like rondavu said and see what everyone thinks. and rondavu, yes i must have leaks cuz i am not slaughtering and i've seen countless people here and on other forums say stuff like, "oh i went through 25NL at 10bb/100 and it was a breeze." i started that ftr video thread a while back partly for this reason. i wanted to see the "slaughterers" of low stakes NL in action. hopefully, people are still going to record themselves. thanks again guys.

Please please keep running PT on auto-import, and then give us more info.

Also, you may have mentioned this before, but I've been gone for a few months (Australia. ). How many tables do you play? Do you use Pokerace HUD?
Lukie: "Yo Fnord I was playing omaha earlier"
Lukie: "I got dealt quads"
Lukie: "but everyone folded to my raise "
Lukie: "I was going to pwn everyone"
Fnord: "Gotta slowplay them big hands man..."
