Hey i was just wondering how brutal and how long everyone's worst bad luck streak is?

In the last 3 days i've lost 4 over 100 dollar pots to 2 runner runner straights, 1 3 outer, and 1 runner runner flush for probably around 525 dollars.

i've posted some on the bad beats forum for venting purposes, but yeah how about yall?

I've lost $300 playing $10 buy in, and i'd say about 80% of the time i lost a pot it was a bad beat.

my worst streak was only 220 at 50nl.
This was in one day (i actually had made 100 before i lost all this)
hands were if i remember
one buy in AA vs KK (opp hits quad kings on flop)
one buy in straight vs flush (i flop straight, opp has oesd that hits 4 flush on river)
one buy in set vs flush (same again tpgk vs flush he hits river 4 flush)
one buy in set over set (this is always a beat)

All happened in about 4 hrs where i took a bit of time off between each buy in dropped. All these calls sucked but i guess for the amount of money i have won of people making the first 3 calls i had to say fair enough to a few beats.

Bad streak I hit was over the course of a few days of playing. Everytime I hit an open ended straight draw, I would miss it. I could go in with KQ and flop would be JT and I'd never get an ace or 9. Now you should make an open eneded straight draw hit about 1 out of 3 times, or a little less. Over the course of a few days I had open ended draws on the flop 13 times and didn't hit 1. Somebody with tptk would make a bet and my table was pretty loose, especially on 1 particular day, so there would be 3 or 4 callers to the bet by tptk, so I called to and missed every single 1.

Figured i just had a bad day yesterday of losing $100.
Your typical raising with premium hands but never cathcing the flop and always getting re-raised on your continuation bet.

Today made it quite obvious that i was on a losing streak when i lost at the $50 NL twice in a row with AA for both of my stacks a total of $120.

Multipoker is not making it easy for me to clear their reload bonus.

I wont let them get the best of me though!

now my bad luck has continued and i'm down three more +100 pots due to some super random bottom pair action busting my top/over pairs.

12 buy-ins at NL25.

~200BB in a mix of a shot at 15/30 full, 5/10 short and 3/6 full. About 2.5k of damage done.

Rounders lose money good. I've won and lost a lot and I don't even remember the worst or best. I don't really have the memory of a poker player.

Most of the money I've made (in the few times I've played it) has been from stealing small pots. The regulars in that game won't play a big pot without a big made hand.

about $900 in a sobering downswing of SNGs (22s and 33s)

About 200 BB at 5/10 6 max. It was probably more, but I don't really keep track of my high (or low)point for the day. I've dropped more $ in downswings at 15/30 full, but not as many BB (knock on wood).

My current losing streak is one of my worst. (200NL) In the last couple of weeks I've:

Rounded numbers...

(Lost $100)
even
(Lost $500)
(Lost $400)
Won $100
Won $100
(Lost $600)
(Lost $300)
Won $600
(Lost $300)
(Lost $300)
Won $600
(Lost $450)
Won $300

8 losing sessions to 5 winning ones.

And that's where I stand. It's been brutal.

But the weeks before that I only lost in four sessions out of 22. So I guess I had it coming.

In the last week i've dropped 10 buy-ins at NL $100.

About $200 could have been avoided, but most was just awful luck.

My honest answer is I don't know. I've had two bad streaks (8 buyins and 10 buyins, almost all at £25NL) but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I was aware that, among the bad beats, my game hadn't suffered noticeably during both.

In fact, I'm currently still in the 8 buyin one, so I may have to update this thread sooner than I'd hoped

For god sakes. Who started this pitiful wine thread? Somebody shoot him in the face. It's like a group of people thrown into smoldering lava at the same time. One guy screams "Aaaaah, HELP ME!", while the guy next to him melts like a chocolate rabbit.

Why don't we all just hold hands and jump into a pile of tissues? Anyone have a razor blade? I wanna end it all right now by killing you all. Can somebody lock this sorry excuse for a pigpile? Seriously, if I wanted to vent into a giant void I would shit over the grand canyon.

I lost $1,000 in two days. Can someone cradle me in their hairy poker arms and stroke my scalp?

another day and i'm down even more thanks to more amazing call work by what i would like to call the new nuts.

new nuts = low pair crap kicker.
because i've lost a straight to that, trips to that, and many many top pairs to that.

my favorite was a 25 dollar call from the biggest fish ever with 234 on the board wiith 810os beating my straight flush draw.

over a prolonged downswing, I once blew $400 at $50NL over about a week and a half. it was a combination of bad luck, which led to shaking up my confidence, which led to a week-long, expensive, session of mega-tilt

My last upswing was 7,000 hands long (BB/100 at £25NL of 35+), so I hope to god my current downswing doesn't get anywhere near that.

(I won £4 today after breaking even yesterday. It must be over hahahahaha oh dear)

When IT happens IT is quite stressful and has one grasping for answers and confirmation from other solid winners of how bad IT really is. So I wouldn't go so far as to say that talking about IT has no merit. IT is as much a part of poker as anything else.

That always happens when you first move up in stakes. Several times early on in my poker career I attempted to move up to 100 NL only to get stacked multiple times. Then later on 400 NL gave me similar problems, I kept getting stacked everytime i moved up to stupid shit (like me having KK and someone having AA).
