I've always wondered... I don't pay attention to poker on television, so I wouldn't really know.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is a collection of poker tournaments featuring most of the world's professional players. It was started by attorney/television producer Stephen Lipscomb who now serves as CEO of WPT Enterprises, the firm that controls the World Poker Tour. Events of the WPT happen all over the world

The World Series of Poker is a set of poker touraments spanning from Omaha to Holdem to Razz with a grand finale of the $10,000 No Limit Holdem Main Event. The WSOP events occur only in Las Vegas

There is a movement to get the WSOP added into the WPT events list though

What?!
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

I personally enjoy the WSOP way more than the WPT. because the WSOP have more animated cuts and anouncers.

Yep, some people are trying to get WSOP added as an event to the WPT.

Sklansky has been on a bender to have the WSOP main event be a HORSE style game... For about 10 - 15 years.

I'll put both those facts away in the same file.

WPT is my personal favorite.I love hearing Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patton get psyched everytime a player pushes or makes a huge raise, and Shianna Hiatt is a great host/announcer as well.
