For A2s vs. KQs (probably the worst case for the Ax hand):
pokenum -h as 2s - ks qs
Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards

Code:
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As 8s 959583 56.04 744615 43.49 8106 0.47 0.563
Kc Qc 744615 43.49 959583 56.04 8106 0.47 0.437
A2s has straights, and different suits lets KQs win if thier flush comes up.

It is only a good starting hand if you are the original raiser, and not in EP...you cant go around calling huge raises with KQs but I would still rather have it rather then A-rag suited.....

Its value doesn't decrease in multi-way pots and there are more ways to increase. It's a better all-around hand, but worse in an all-in situation.

Agreed. With King-Queen suited I can hit either my flush, straight, two pair,or even one of my pairs may take the pot down.Ace-X suited I'm playing for one hand:flush and it becomes obvious to the Preflop raiser once he sees my betting pattern.
