Hi lads
I figure I want to read up on these poker theories:
Poker is a game of partial information
Poker is a contest between a made hand and a drawing hand
Poker is a game of kickers and domination
What book covers those in a good way ?
If there are other theories that would be very handy to handle properly in tight games please let me know of them. I will base my game at tight fixed limit tables on those theories.
Cheers

Theory of Poker is the best book you will get for the basics of poker.

Hmmm ... not that fond of basics only. Or is that enough to build up a understanding and apply it properly ? How does it effect the book that it is about other types of poker than texas hold 'em too ?

Well I did very well in math at upper secondary school - always had it easy for math. Would far from dare to call myself a math guru . Sounds to me like it goes over the top regarding the math.

i think most people consider harrington on hold em 1&2 and super system 2 as good poker books (dont get play poker like to pro's, total rubbish)
edit: although harrington on holdem is no limit tournament based...i think , not getting it until monday so ill let you know. super system 2 has a section on limit holdem.

It's the most beginner aimed book on the market though.
