So currently, when i'm picking tables, i'm just going in to the PS lobby and sort by highest players/flop column, and join or wait list when I can. I've been noticing it doesn't really mean looser players. What does the stat actually mean?? And is there a better way to table select? Not including going through table by table and watch everyone play for a round or 2.

Hello Feroda here is what I do , from one beginner to another.

I click to join a few tables, when the table becomes available, I look at the stack sizes , If there is a seat availaable on the very left of a decent stacksize , Im sitting there . Thats where a lot of my money should be coming from.

If a table becomes available and the stacksizes are shit, too many short stackers ,Im not going there,

I think it means , what percentage of players saw the flop in the last 10 hands , so , that doesnt really have much to do with the future.

I also quickly scroll down the table list looking for tables with a few decent stacks. and apply to sit there.

When Im playing a session, I usually have 2-4 tables open ,and find myself looking for reasons eliminate of them verses reasons to stay reasons to stay.

A few reasons to stay.

1 The person(s) on my right has a decent stack
2 The person(s) on my right have a big gap in their V$IP
3 the more people Like 1 and 2 the better.

A few reasons to be getting another table started.

1 too much opposition and being played back at too often by people acting after me.
2 not enough reasons to stay.

I hope my thoughts are helpful and not flying in the face of sensability.

Table selection isn't very important, but seat selection is.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I thought that is mainly a 6-max thing. I realize seat selection is still important in fr, but isn't the table also very important. And thanks for the input guys

daviddem will become famous soon enough
On FTP, I filter for tables with >30% players per flop, and I browse to find a seat with two big stacks on my right and two small stacks on my left. I immediately look up the two players to my left on pokertableratings to see whether they are winning shortstackers and how tight/loose they play (good full stack regs usually keep their stacks full, so in general the guys to my left are either bad players who lost part of their stack and do not top up or shortstackers, lots of which (but not all of them) are also bad players).

Doesn't mean I always leave if the situation changes, but I certainly tend to leave when good players sit on my left full stacked, unless the table is otherwise juicy. I also tend to leave when the whole table starts playing super-nitty.
Virginity is like a bubble: one prick and it's all gone
