Hi Everyone,

My casino, (Star City, Sydney) has a NL game with $1/$2 blinds and a Maximum buy in of $80 (40 big blinds).

If I can build my stack to $300 or more solid sensible poker always pays on these tables.

The question I put forth is what advice can you give to help build the stack up to the $300 mark.

Whilst solid sensible play works wonders when you have the big stack it simply doesn't work when you sit down with the $80 buy-in.

Why are the stacks so shallow? It seems that a lot of people who post about Live casino play mention very short buy ins as max. I was thinking about playing at Star City some time, but why bother if you can only buy in so short?
I started a new job so don't play much ATM, just FTP mini grind

I guess it has something to do with not letting really good players being able to instantly dominate the table.
