this is not wholly correct:

the apostrophe AFTER an "S" in a formal name can be either singular or plural. e.g.:

because the name "Jesus" ends in an "S," it is a correct form to put the apostrophe after the "S" regardless of whether or not it is plural. It is also correct, however, to use the apostrophe-s form in this case. it's purely optional:

Ex. 1b) Jesus's "beloved" apostle, John, must've been having a really bad trip when he wrote The Book of Revalations. {Singular; Also correct!}

Where you're wrong, though, is that the s-apostrophe form with a formal name can also be plural. this is especially common when referring to a family or group:

Ex. 2a) The Smiths' beliefs are so yayjesus that it is quite lol. {Plural; correct}

Ex. 2b) The Smiths's favorite collective pastime is listening to the Glenn Beck Program--SURPRISE! {This is so retardedly incorrect. Please never do this!}

CLIFFNOTES: Bobbofitos' DVDs could refer ONE person's (whose name is Bobbofitos) series of DVDs, or it could refer to an GROUP of people named Bobbofito who make good DVDs. Either way, there are a plural amount of DVDs because there was an "S" after the "DVD" ldo.
