villain 15/15 after 20 hands. Quite simply being oop I am having trouble working out the best line and why. The fact he has only raised to date means I default to crediting with some poker sense.

I don't think I fold many hands that are currently beating me such as AQ or KQ with that high a frequency. AA/KK will probably shove over along with high flush draws. 99-JJ occasionally do something retarded convincing themselves I'm on a pure FD. Everything else has a simple decision of ship or ditch.

So basically I don't think really get better to fold, apart from KQ, and I don't get much action from worse. Am I wrong/overthinking?

If I call I have to act first on the turn and whatever action I choose allows them to play perfectly by folding or betting generally correctly. Or does it give the best chance of them overplaying their lower pairs and me cheaper chance to catch up with the top of their range???

Either way its been bugging me a while now., what line do you prefer against a reasonable and agressive villain?

fair point was asking about post flop tho. Would need convincing 3betting is correct at 10nl where they dont fold and i have good odds to call. Also wonder why you think folding>calling. Drunk atm.

ok. maybe your saying against a reasonable ag player 3betting folds a lot of their range and has to becuse there is a player behind them, so we are effectively squeezing. not something i have really tried or have a strategy for, consciously at least.

still would be interested in your post flop line and why.

I don't see a point for 3betting unless you just love to squeeze like an ass. Calling is fine IMO. As for the flop, check raising isn't the worst thing you could have done. But are you getting it in against a shove? I would rather donk into him than check/call.

I'm pretty sure calling with that kind of crap oop is going to be very difficult to make a winning hand over time.

Of course we'd need a bit more info to justify playing the hand.

Fold preflop. You could easily be playing a dominated hand OOP. Post-flop is really vilain dependand here. But fold pre and you have easier time.

unless button is a huge fish...

as played c/r is pretty dumb, no reason to turn a good hand into a flip when you can play this much more +EV...

c/r doesn't fold much, I think KQ continues and maybe even QJ for a street for some people. All your doing in owning yourself vs better hands so your hand is basically a FD and folding worse hands. leading or flatting is better

if button isn't a fish, i'd squeeze, and if he is, i'd flat.

as played, i don't see why calling isn't an option?

Easy fold preflop just going to be very hard over the long run to make money with this play
3bet is better than calling for sure

fwiw, this sentence was referring to the flop. OP made it sound like we had one option, and it was to raise.

i'm not going to defend calling because i'm not certain it's profitable even if BU is a huge fish. if button is really bad, though, and we have some reads on him, i think we can flat going for some implied odds against MP2's relatively strong range and a fish that's going to pay us off if we hit two pair+. this premise ("if button is really bad, though, and we have some reads on him") obv doesn't apply, though, since it wasn't in the op.
