Hey everyone. This may seem like a random question to ask but I was just wondering at what age did some of you guys begin to start playing poker? Did you start studying as soon as you began playing or did it take you a while to realize that you like it enough to study it? I'm only 15 but I have taken a great interest in No Limit Texas Holdem and I wish to improve my game. So basically I'm wondering if I am too young to start studying or should I start as soon as possible? Should I wait until I'm atleast old enough to legally gamble at casinos?

Study up now, then unleash your mad skillz when you are legal.
You can never be too young to study poker.

You can sign up at poker sites and play for play money too as long as you promise not to accidentally misclick on the year of birth box.

18. My friends invited me over to spaz out and have fun at "poker night". Ah...the days of my VPIP being 90%...:P
I started learning how to play later at college, when I started online poker and started learning how to play.
So to answer your question, 18. I'm 19 now.
And if poker interests you, learn a bit about it, but keep things in focus. Don't forget about school. To be perfectly honest, poker will probably be dead or winding down by the time you're legal, so don't put too much faith in it. The majority of the fish will be gone. I mean, I don't want to be a downer, but that's the truth.
After all, i won't be legal in B&M casinos until 2 yrs from now, but I don't think that it will do me any good by then. Eh...what ya gonna do?

Hey thanks for the insight. Yea I figured that poker won't be my career but I would like to be good at it, you know? a500lbgorilla - I live in Scott Township in the South Hills if you know where that is. School is my number one priority at the time, although I do have to say since I am in higher than average classes, the summer homework is pretty ANNOYING! But anyways, thanks again.
P.S. - a500lbgorilla - I live in Scott Township in the South Hills if you know where that is.
