I may as well answer my own questions to get this thing started. I'm not new, but what the hell.

Name: Courtney

Age: 21

What do you play and what stakes: Holdem! $100NL right now. I used to play SnGs up to the $55 buyin, but I got bored of them and realized that there's a LOT more money in other games. I play the occasional $33 to $55 MTT when I get sick of donking up cash games (I'm still really new to those) because I really love tournaments and always will.

How long have you been playing: I learned to play holdem almost two years ago when a friend taught me. I started playing online probably 1.5 years ago where I started on PS and played $5.50 SnGs

Where do you mostly play: I play at PS right now, but thinking about other options. I sometimes play on AP or Hollywood, but it's not often because I'm too in love with the PS interface.

Why did you come to FTR: I really loved holdem when I first learned it, and I really wanted to get better. Plus I was looking for information about playing online and the forum was a good resource.

Do you have any goals: Right now I'm playing cash games for income to pay for my rent because I don't start bringing home cash from a business I operate until May. Because of this, I need to withdraw on a regular basis and my bankroll is stagnant. Once I stop withdrawing, I want to start building my bankroll again and hope to get it up to $10k by the end of August. I want to be playing $200NL for sure and maybe dipping my feet in some $400NL.

Well I can already see that this thread is a smashing hit so I figure maybe I'll write some stuff about me (please everyone, hold your applause and questions will be answered at the end).

Games: NLHE ring. I am a 5/10 regular although I have played a very small bit of 10/20 and 25/50 as well. I strongly prefer shorthanded games. I will start playing full ring a bit as well but only because the game that I see myself playing in the future, stars 25/50, is only spread in full ring hyachachach.

I'd like to start playing some other games, omaha and omaha hi/lo probably being on the top of that list.

How long have you been playing: I think I learned about 2 years ago. I have had various stretches of playing and not playing since then. I think I've been playing at a semi-serious level or so for a bit over a year. I think my game has really taken off in the last few months though honestly.

Where do I mostly play?: All pokerstars pretty much. If they don't start spreading heads up cash tables though, I will probably start splitting time with Full Tilt. Rakeback is extra incentive there.

Goals: Lots of them. Suffice it to say, I want to be the best. I might be able to settle for the elite upper echelon, but probably not.

How long have you been playing? About 8months now
Where do you mostly play? I have been switching a lot. Will be at Empire soon.

What do you play and what stakes: I play 1/2 limit right now. Im growing a roll hoping to get to 5/10 by my 22nd Bday, May 31st.

How long have you been playing: I started playing when I was 16 at friends' houses. I moved up to playing SNG's, was fairly profitable even playing 22s for a bit. I hadn't played for 2 years but I moved out to Vegas and got that itch again. Ill play up to 8/16 in the casinos.

Where do you mostly play: I have accounts on FTP, UB, PS, Absolute, and Bodog. Right now you can find me playing 1/2 on UB.

Why did you come to FTR: Fucking Google

Do you have any goals: Yup, check my sig out for my "operation". Basically said it earlier, I want to be at 5/10 in about 4.5 months. Should be possible as I need to make about 5k more and I have over 2K in bonuses to clear. Rakeback is great too!!!

Well, I hope some new posters come in here cuz it was my damn idea and all...

What do you play and what stakes: NLHE Cash. I have decent success at full ring no-limit cash where i have played up to 600nl, and no-so-much success at shorthanded cash games.

How long have you been playing: Ive played around half a million hands since i started in February 2006, and made somewhere in the realm of $35,000.

Where do you mostly play: I currently play 1/2 and 2/4 full ring on full tilt and pokerstars.

Why did you come to FTR: Chance.

Do you have any goals: First goal is to make enough playing professionally to be financially secure. I'm pretty much accomplishing that goal. The other much more difficult goal is to get better and move up.

What do you play and what stakes: I've swam around in everything, but the only game I have any sort of edge in is NL Holdem. Stars 100NL ring, you can find me in the rock garden. I have played quite a bit of Razz and HORSE, many Holdem SNGs and MTTs (though not my specialty), limited amounts of Omaha Hi and Hi-Lo, Limit Holdem, and very very little 7 card stud and hi-lo.

How long have you been playing: Cards in general I've been playing all my life. And when I say all my life, I mean I learned to count using cards. I used to play Casino Kid with my Papaw on NES, where the only 2 games were 5 card draw and blackjack, and you had to break your opponent headsup at every table.

I'm part of the new-school holdem crowd, started goofing off on freerolls and play money around November of '05.

Where do you mostly play: All Stars right now, trying to amass a ton of FPP.

Why did you come to FTR: Honestly I don't remember, I think it came up under "Texas Hold'em Strategy" or something in google. I stayed for the content

Do you have any goals: I post my goals in my thread, which can be found at http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...er=asc&start=0
Save your stories 'cuz they're all the same..

What do you play and what stakes Currentlty 200nl to 1knl NL holdem, 10/20 20/40 limit holdem when i find a good game and 200 pot limit omaha or higher when available. I also like 5card draw, but only the limit version. Working on my MTT game, but its very average, as is my SNG play.
I play an irregular live game at a casino about 30 miles away once a week, 10/20 limit holdem, but it normally never gets going as most players dont turn up with the cash to play such games (Britain sucks)

How long have you been playing? I watched a flatmate at uni playing in septetmber of '04 and by June id decided to give it a shot after finding FTR. For that period until June i was a losing player with no bankroll management. In september of '05 i cashed my 10k bankroll and paid my uni fees, and very nearly quit as i hadnt seen poker as a long term investment, nor given the first thought to being 'pro'. Glad now i didnt quit.
Fwiw, im quite old school i guess.

Where do you play 3 tables at bodog, 4 tables at tribeca and 5 on the boss network. I will from time to time play games on Absolute/stars/party but i dont like the two major names Stars and party simply because they dont give rakeback. I dont personally have anything against stars, i just think new poker players should be playing in better games, and ive tried pretty much every online room by now.

Why did you come to FTR? I have no idea now, but id guess it was probably because i wanted to figure out how to beat the game and win cash. It certainly took my 6-8months to just breakeven and become a small winner.

Do you have any goals? Tough one. Right now, my bankroll is probably big enough to dictate i give professional play a shot. However, i just left Uni and would like to get a job of decent standing. Poker can always wait a few years while i put together a half decent CV. Saying that, i cannot find a job for heaven nor hell at the moment, so i collect my dole money every 2weeks and basically pay the bills from poker. But im certainly not set-up to be a pro. So really, for now my goal is to find out where i really want to go with poker, because i never thought id make the kinds of money i have made since the summer of '06 and im still not accustomed to it.

Bankroll(Jan'07) $42000

What do you play and what stakes $16 Turbo SNG's

How long have you been playing? I learned the basics of how to play in small pickup games in my frat roughly 3 years ago, then shortly after I discovered online and it has been my only "job" ever since.

Where do you play? 4 table $16 Turbo's at Stars for another few months, then after I get some expenses out of the way I'm going to start at $2NL ring and see how I like it in comparison to the turbo's.

Why did you come to FTR Found the site by a random google search, lurked around the forums for a few months and then finally started posting and learning.

Goals As far as poker goes, I never had any intrest in making it pro or playing high stakes games, my only goal was to make online Hold 'Em my sole job during college and make $10+ dollars an hour doing it to cover the bar tabs, keep the GF happy, etc. I've achieved that, and will continue to play for a year or two more until I (hopefully) get into one of my two dream law schools; Penn or NYU.

Name? Mark

Age? 32

Nationality/location? British, London

Day job? Film and TV agent (I am secretly Jamie Gold, mwahahaha)

What do you play and what stakes? Short-handed no-limit texas hold'em (mainly £50NL), with the occasional $11 SNG and the very occasional MTT for variety.

How long have you been playing? Just under 2 years. Some online friends mentioned getting a friendly game together; I gave it a go and was hooked in seconds. I played SNGs for a few months, then switched to cash where the money's better, the bad beats less devastating and the strategy is much more interesting.

Where do you play? I play on 2 different Crypto rooms, Sun and Pokerplex. I choose these rooms because i) they offer good bonuses and good rakeback and ii) they have £ tables.

I also have accounts at half a dozen other poker rooms and from time to time (usually at times of day when Crypto is quiet) I'll play 6max at Stars, Party, FT or Boss. I also have an account at Pokerroom (where I originally started) which can be accessed via a java client, which is very handy if you're away from your computer or if you don't want to install software on someone else's machine.

Why did you come to FTR? I can't remember *how* I found it, but as soon as I started reading it I knew it was exactly the right kind of forum for me - busy, friendly, full of existing advice and info and with a very knowledgeable, but still feet-on-the-ground, user base.

Since I joined I've made nearly 2,000 posts and made several proper, off-board friends. I couldn't have asked for more tbh and I hope my contributions give something back to the community.

Do you have any goals? Not in poker I'd like to keep making money from it - pocket money is fine - and, assuming I keep enjoying it as a hobby, it'd be nice to move up a limit or two and hopefully increase my roll accordingly. But that's it - I think I'm the person on FTR who least harbours a dream to go pro.

Profit from poker (Jan'07)? $10,000

What do you play? $5 sng's and sometimes $10NL at doyles room, dreampoker, and absolute
At what stakes do you play? Ooops I just told you.
How long have you been playing? Maybe a year and a half? I've fooled around with poker for a few years...won a 30 to 40 man live tourney last year and have been hooked ever since.
Where do you mostly play? Yea I covered that already too.
Why did you come to FTR? Pretty sure google when searching for "play money forum" even though you didn't have one...I'm still petitioning to get one set up
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Get my bankroll to 10 zillion dollars (or like $1000) and get my handicap into the single digits (golf) and get a lot better at life and a little bit better at poker.

What do you play and what stakes: Currently playing $10nl 6max and starting to take shots at $25nl.

How long have you been playing: Started playing Sngs and MTTs in April of 2006. Had some success at SnG's but decided i liked cash games and started focusing on them full time in December 2006.

Where do you play: Pokerstars, Full Tilt, Absolute, and hopefully Party again someday.

Why did you come to FTR: I found FTR while browsing for poker strategy on Google and loved it from the beginning.

Goals: Short term goals at the minute are to be playing $25nl full time by February and move up to $50nl by mid March. Long term i want to be able to keep learning and improving my cash game play so that it can provide a nice little side income.

What do you play and what stakes: NLHE cash games, 100NL full-ring, starting to take stabs at 200NL.

How long have you been playing: Started playing online in March of 2006. Learned poker when I was a wee babe though.

Where do you play: Full Tilt & Stars.

Why did you come to FTR: It was fate. Or Google.

Goals: Short-term: build the BR a little more and move up to 200NL full-time. Long-term: be able to play ~10 hours/week and have a nice side income.

What do you play and what stakes: Dropped back down to$10NL with shots at $25NL

How long have you been playing: First deposit in March, seriously since June

Where do you mostly play:Full Tilting for the time being, probably back to Crypto when I hit $25nl full time.

Why did you come to FTR: Lucked out on my search for strategy. I checked them all, FTR was the smoothest, easiest read.

Goals:
Short term, $25NL, then a $1K BR, to have me and Bode-ist dominate $50NL. Long term, To make a small modest earning, to cushion me to move from the daily grind of 20 years, and take a shot at something new.

About half of the people posting are regulars, so I will too....
Name: Mark

Age: 32

What do you play? NL FR, tried SH but not good at it. Will make another attempt sometime. Don't care for limit so much, but I will play. Occasional tourney. Used to play SNG alot....Love to play live (only done it 5 or 6 times), have played 2/4 through 4/8 limit, 1/3 NL. Want to play 2/5 NL if I can get over the mental hurdle of how much a % of my BR that is....Have made $1000 in the few times I have gone to the casino...easy pickings there.

At what stakes do you play? $100--rolled for $200 but have no winrate to speak of at $100 so I don't feel I can move up right now.

How long have you been playing? I have been playing seriously for about 14 months. Played in the free bar tourneys for a while and the occasional home game, and did okay, so I thought I would KILL real games.....LOL....

Where do you mostly play? Used to play at Ongame, now I play FT/PS/AP. FT mostly now, due to traffic and RB. If PS ever offered RB I would play there more. AP has low traffic base.

Why did you come to FTR? Google and lurking for a while. Loved the fun spirit of the place.....

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? To stop sucking at $100NL so I can move up.
Play like Fnord LOL.... if I could do that the rest would fall into place.
BR goal for EOY is $10K (currently $4700). This is after I withdraw some portion mid year to pay for my daughter's school, probably somewhere between $1k and $2k. There was a post I read early on about finding your WHY, and this is my WHY--paying for Alyssa's school, hopefully all the way through college. One buyin at a time.
Play more live.
Become a more respected member of the forum.
Be a winner at $200 before the end of the year.
Lifetime goal is to make this a nice supplementary income--it is awesome to have a hobby that pays you!!
Learn!!!!
Operation Grind For Education:

Current BR: $10080(04/06/2009) BR Goal: $15000--I LOVE RB!!!
End date: 31aug2009
Current stakes: $100/200NL FR

I got started playing in a home game last Christmas on vacation. When I got back I went on a learning spree, reading every poker book in our library's system as well as everything I could find online. That's when I found FTR. I started playing live in a $20 rebuy tournament every week and then phased into limit where I played 3/6 or 4/8 kill.

I started at FT playing 3/6 limit. I played limit exclusively until one day when the ironman freeroll popped up on my screen. I placed 7th and started my love affair w/ Mtts. I cashed out a lot, and then in the summer of '06 I had to cash the rest out to pay for a major car accident. This came at the same time Washington State made playing online a felony, and I decided not to play online anymore.

Easier said than done, though. I'm back, and starting over. I'm also trying to find my niche in the poker world. I started by playing S&Gs, but after a cold streak I'm experimenting with shorthanded NL @ .5/.10

Goals:

My husband is going to Iraq in April. By that time, I want to make enough to take full advantage of the bonus trail. After he leaves I want to play as a part time job and see how it feels/what my expectation would be as a semi-pro.

At what stakes do you play?50NL
How long have you been playing?I played my first game of poker 2 years ago. I played SnGs and 10NL to clear a couple now extinct bonuses. I was rolled for $11s Sept 2006 but hated SnGs and switched to cash. While I've been serious about learning the game since I started. I've only been serious about playing the game for 3-4 months.

Where do you mostly play?PS, FT, we'll see

Why did you come to FTR?Google. I was trying to find as much free information as possible. I stayed because of the SnG stickies. Funny how two+two doesn't come up in generic poker searches...

It was awhile before I started reading new posts. Mostly out of boredom at work, or procrastinating at school. I stayed for the humor (and knowledge I guess).

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)?Get to 100NL, make a side income from poker. These really coincide as I need to build the roll to get to 100NL. You could help by making less posts so I spend more time playing instead of reading. Or you could have Lee Jones nudge my doomswitch a tad so I pull out of my breakeven funk.

What do you play? No Limit Hold em -- some Omaha and Omaha H/L
At what stakes do you play? 100NL / 200NL Short handed and Full Ring -- I also play a Live 10/20 or 15/30 limit hold em game.

How long have you been playing? A couple of years I guess -- This is just a hobby for me. I play maybe 10k-15k hands a month.

Where do you mostly play? Right now Stars -- I aim to keep my Gold Status every month
Why did you come to FTR? Searching for Hold em advice.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? I just try to improve and move up in stakes. I play fine at 1oonl full ring. I have played 200nl Full ring with no real success, (no losses either). I have taken shots at short handed at both levels with marginal success.

What do you play? NL Holdem FR

At what stakes do you play? $10NL

How long have you been playing? Not long at all, about a month or so - I wanted to practice for a home game my friend is hosting soon and have been playing most days since depositing.

Where do you mostly play? Party, though I'm open to recommendations for others, as I'd like to try something else as well.

Why did you come to FTR? It just seemed really great to have friendly, experienced players who were willing to help and share their thoughts. It's been said before, but not all poker forums are like that.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Having read lots of FTR, I've found that I'm now slowly building my BR (after some drastic, pre-finding-FTR losses I just surpassed my initial deposit the other day) which is great. I initially just wanted to beat my friends at this home game we're going to have (heh ) but I have found I really enjoy playing poker and would like to get to the point where I'm playing higher stakes. I think the first step is to build my BR then get better at 6-max as most games on Party above $10NL seem not to be FR. How FTR can help me with this is to stay here and carry on doing what you do. This really is a truly valuable resource that is greatly appreciated.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? My goal for the year is to play enough hands and gain the experience and BR to move up to $50NL.

What do you play and what stakes: i still play the lowest stakes ( 0.02/0.04 - 0.05/0.10 ) and Freerolls ( never deposited a single Dollar )

How long have you been playing:
Im playing now for almost a year, but not very regulary since im a student and other as most ppl will tell you this is real hard work. Beside that i work as 3D CG Freelancer from time to time to earn me some extra money ( the 3d guy on my AV is selfmade ). Sadly that leaves not much room for poker ... so i only played 15000 hands in my first year.

Where do you mostly play: ... i play either at PokerStar or at Absolute Poker ... i tryed it at PatyPoker aswell but i dont like the fact that there are much too much well trained compatriot ( germans ) on the micro limits.

Why did you come to FTR: ... easy, first of all to get better and improve my poker skills and secondly to have some fun .

Do you have any goals: ... jup, i wanna buy myself a new computer from the won money, not that i havnt enough in RL ... i just wanna use this as motivation to play more and get better ^^

What do you play? Exclusively SNGs at this stage although I'm dipping my toe in a bit of cash (and quickly pulling it out!)

At what stakes do you play? $27 turbos at PS

How long have you been playing? About 1.5 years - played some play money on and off prior to that but only really started seriously in August 2005

Where do you mostly play? Exclusively PS. Used to play at Party before they banned US players but I found that it got far too nitty afterwards

Why did you come to FTR? I think I stumbled across it by Googling "poker strategy" or something like that. Didn't discover the forums until about a month after I found FTR

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Basically to become the best player that I possibly can! Specifically, I'd like to build my BR up so I can move to the $60 turbos, learn to play cash properly and learn to play MTTs. The forum has helped me immensely so far, it can help me achieve these goals by just continuing to be a great, friendly, approachable place to discuss poker!

What do you play? SNGs only atm. Was running good at cash, but it was making my SNG play bad.

At what stakes do you play? $16 turbos at PS

How long have you been playing? About 6 months - PLayed home games etc before, then had a crack online.

Where do you mostly play? Stars but tempted to start bonus whoring except it takes ages to clear them playing SNGs.

Why did you come to FTR? Googled poker strategy. hand groups 0-9 were my bible for a while. Then I found the forums.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? I desperately want to write a good Phd then change my SN to Dr Wizard. I think FTR could help by blocking my work IP address LOL. Seriously though, my poker goals are to be a winning player at whatever level I play at and to learn ICM backwards. Once I can do it well (Im getting there but not there) ill 12 table some level im comfortable with and have the 2+2ers say "GingerWizard, 12 tabler, FTR, stay off his tables" like we all do with spacegravy.
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.

What do you play? PLO SNGs and PLO tournaments. Just getting on board with PLO8 since these games fill more rapidly.

At what stakes do you play?
SNG: $16 turbos at PS in order to get a feel for live play hands-per-level. This is important b/c we see less hands during live play and since I always know exactly where I'm at I need to get a better feel for playing less hands per level. Otherwise, I play whatever PLO SNG fills.
Tournaments: $11-$55 PLO; will start to play some PLO8 (lower buy-ins to start). When I'm feeling wreckless, feel like gambling or want to try different strategies, I'll play anything from $3.30 - $8.80 just for fun.

How long have you been playing? Began with NL on-line (PS) with real money on line (Jan 2005).

Where do you mostly play? Online @ Stars. Live: Seabrook (2-3x/month) and Foxwoods (4x/year). I'm very successful at live NL play versus online NL.

Why did you come to FTR? 2+2 Forum. Someone used the hand converter.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? My goal is to play and WIN a PLO event at the WSOP in Vegas. However, I understand that the $1500 is more of a crap shoot given blind structure and I may not have a bankroll for more than that. SO, I may try the Orleans tournament [smaller buy-in] - hence, my need to improve at PLO8!

Where do you mostly play? Ladbrokes

Why did you come to FTR? Google.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Get rich. I've been lurking around here for quite some time and i think you can learn a lot more in here than you can from any poker book.

Hi I'm new here and would like to introduce myself.

Name: David

Age: 22

What do you play? NLHE Cash games. Strictly shorthanded. I'm in limbo between 400NL and 2kNL at the moment depending on what I feel like playing at that moment in time.

At what stakes do you play? 400NL to 2000NL.

How long have you been playing? a year and a half.

Where do you mostly play? Party Poker and other smaller sites.

Why did you come to FTR? I was introduced to poker by a college friend origionally and I progressed onto play money games on Party Poker. Then I realised that it was possible to generate an edge in poker so I googled it and began leaning. FTR helped a lot.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Make a million and invest it.

HEY LURKERS! INTRODUCE YOURSELVES HERE PLEASE. POSTING STIMULATES THINKING AND ENCOURAGES LEARNING. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

At what stakes do you play? <= $10NL
How long have you been playing? A few years...mainly in home games. I never really took it seriously until recently.
Where do you mostly play? PokerStars
Why did you come to FTR? I was searching the web for poker chips awhile back and stumbled across this site.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? I think a reasonable goal would be to build my bankroll up enough to play $100NL. I don't have many people to talk to in real life about hands and whatnot, so that's where you guys get to help.

Age: 42, soon to be "Richard Petty" as per my 4 year old son who knows the "flop", the "turn" and the "river"

What do you play and what stakes: NLHE micro/low MTT and SnGs. Splash around in $.01/$.02 to win some buyins at the "beginning of the month".

How long have you been playing: 1 yr. First time to Vegas in June 2006. Started studying Pai Gow Poker in October 2005 and Hold'em a year ago. Had fun getting drunk playing Pai Gow and huge adrenaline rush playing the Caesars $100 noon time tournament.

Where do you mostly play: PS (ChunkaMonka, nickname for my 2 yr old daughter)

Why did you come to FTR: Strategy, keep my brain open to "other" ways of playing.

Why did you come to back FTR: In no particular order
1. Riptide's strategy post was like smelling salts. To play this game I have to understand that mentality.
2. Analyze a situation, come to my conclusion as to the "correct" play or plays,..... read what Chardrian would do.... hope they match :0)
3. No limit tournament emphasis/coverage.

Do you have any goals:
1. lose $50, $10/month for five months April 2006 to September 2006 done
2. Deposit $50, don't lose more than $10/month in any one month, October 2006 to present - done
3. Double digit SnG win - done
4. Triple digit MTT win(?) - fourth for $450 in the 9pm $5, 2000 person PS MTT
5. Be a winning player, build bankroll (+$700 total) done

done

Future
1. Quad+ MTT cash and win. ??????
2. Move from $1 SnGs to $5 Tournaments permanently- (soon)
3. Qualify for WSOP (expenses paid)
4. Qualify for WSOP (expensed paid) and have BR to buy in to the other NLHE events
5. Eat up all info possible - FTR, the "other" site for people challenged with their elementary math, and books, books, books.
6. Win WSOP bracelet.

Anything else : Tournaments rock

What do you play?
Mostly I play 6-max NL Hold'em these days. I play $100/£50NL and when it gets too much (which is frequently) I play $50NL.

I dabble in LHE (6-max and FR) occassionally at the $1/2 level.

Where do you play?
I'm a big Cryptologic bonus-whore. So I play there a looooot.
Play Party/Empire whenever they offer me a reload bonus.
Occasional SNGs on stars ($5+$0.50 for fun).

How long have you been playing poker?
I started out playing play-money NL SNGs, started playing the LHE SNGs at Everest (zero buy in, $0.05 1st prize) and started moving up.
Started playing the $0.04+$0.01 NL SNGs after a while.

I then started to dabble with free money at ring-games and got a $50 stake on Party (PartyStakers.com). That was in March 2006 and that's when I consider my poker playing to have begun.

Why did you come to FTR?
Googled "NL Holdem strategy" FTR was the first link.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)?
I have no desire to go pro or anything like that. Personally I want to get my BR up to about the 8k mark so I can dabble in $400NL once in a while with a clear conscience. I'm fine with staying at (read: get back to) $100NL for the most part though.
Getting better at limit (maybe getting up to $5/10) would be cool.
Blah blah Op Blah blah

Faith in Jesus Christ is +EV. That is all.

What do you play? Competitive - hold 'em [cash or tourney's]. When playing with my buddies [who aren't very good], I'll expand since I think I'll win no matter what we play
At what stakes do you play? Fav tourney's: $20 180 person and 45 person on stars. Cash: 1/2, 3/5 if I have the bankroll to support it. Once I get my grad degree in August I plan to increase those stakes.
How long have you been playing? Seriously - sophomore in college [2003], casually - sophomore in high school [1999]
Where do you mostly play? Stars and Hollywood
Why did you come to FTR? Advice [sharing and receiving]
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? In regards to poker? Just be a better player. No matter how much you learn you can always learn more. That's why I love this game.

What do you play? No Limit/Pot Limit Hold'em SnG up to 18man, Small Stakes Limit Hold'em, very little cash No Limit Hold'em

At what stakes do you play? Small. $5.50 - $11 currently for SnGs, $.25/$.50 for Limit Ring, and $10 buy-in No Limit Ring

How long have you been playing? Been playing play money on stars since I was 15 or 16, started playing with real cash ($30) a bit before my 17th birthday... So that makes it about 3 years with play money, a bit over 2 years without play money.

Where do you mostly play? PokerStars for reals, Bodog for fun (it's too fishy to take serious at my stakes) and with friends (they have all their sports gambling money in Bodog, you know how those college kids are with their sports betting)

Why did you come to FTR? Googled up poker strategy, read practically every article here, reviewed some of the forum and took a bad beat. I posted it, got some information on my equity (someone using PokerStove) and I've been hooked since. Nice way to fill the time.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Identify any leaks in my game. Criticize the hell out of me, tell me why I'm wrong. USE MATH.

Anything else? I'm a broke college student (Cal Poly) with little bankroll. I've had experience with computers my whole life, and I'm currently majoring in Electrical Engineering. I've built websites from scratch, tackled many web coding projects (PHP lately), and I help the computer science/engineering students with their programming homework. I'm still considering switching to Computer Engineering.
^ Worst advice possible, don't listen ^

What do you play? NLHE 6max
At what stakes do you play? 25NL and some 50NL
How long have you been playing? 8 months. I don't play for a living. I make way too much money in my regular job so it's more about the game than the money.
Where do you mostly play? Party Poker
Why did you come to FTR? Poker is fun and I hate being crap at things. I am crap at poker. I want to get better.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Find some more time to play more hands. I currently want to beat 50NL on a regular basis. FTR is a great resource to help me as I get to understand the thought process of players better than me.

Hi, long time lurker from the UK and I've been so impressed with the content on FTR that I decided to sign up so I can make some posts and join in with the community. I tend to play 6 max NLHE, currently at NL25 stakes. I've played online for around 12 months but played live a bit longer. Switched solely to online now because of the multitabling aspect. I tend to withdraw my roll when it gets to a certain point to buy luxury items with - I have a very good job so poker is more of a hobby for me than money making activity.
Hoping to learn some stuff from better players
Cheers!
