Hi, i'm also a newbie. been playing only for about a year or two. nl mtt's. i really have no desire to play the cash game yet, as i am not very confident or compedent yet. but i do have a HUGE desire to learn. i'm 59 almost, and i have allways loved to play poker, just not texas holdem. usually it was dealers choice.
i play the 65.00 to the 150.00 tournaments for now, mostly the 65.'s though
i play at delaware park, live face to face..
i'm not sure how i found the ftr forum
my goal is to be able to become a competent player in the tournaments. also, to be able to play with confidence, know how to increase my chip stack so when i get to the final table i will not be short stacked. i often find myself in the fold pre flop, or shove for the blinds and antes. i don't want to keep putting myself in jeapordy so often. thankyou..steve

Why did you come to FTR? Known about FTR for a few years now, just read some Bankroll Management articles a long time ago. And kind of come back for the same reason.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? I really just want to have a constant and consistent bankroll, but i just cannot eem to manage one.

I'm getting sick of 2NL as i find it boring as hell, and i know i can beat the 20NL on 888, but i can't stick to 5% or 10% a day. I really want to take Poker seriously, but i can'e manage my bankroll well enough to do so. Any, psychological tipsi can get from here would be helpful.

Hi Tom here. I have been around online poker for around 4 years now and I see lots of well known names who are members here. Took up poker late in life, 57 now, and wish I had got to earlier but not much I can do about that.

Apart from poker my main interests are my family, music and of course work. Married for 34 years, very happily, with 3 great kids and 2 grandkids. I consider myself to be blessed in this respect.

Massive country music fan. Limited opportunities to see live country in the UK but go whenever I can to concerts when the big guys come over the pond. Been to Nashville and just loved it and would go back tomorrow if I could. Also made a mad trip to LA to see Garth Brooks play. Flew to LA went to the concert and flew home. Took 3 days but worth it. Also saw Garth play in Vegas.

So glad FT is back. It was always my preferred site. Favorite games are NLH and Omaha PL. Prefer MTT's but also enjoy the occassional cash games. Do not get to play too much live due to nothing much happening around here but when I do I love it.

Hoping to catch up with a few old friends on here and also hoping to make a few new friends. Also looking forward to playing with you all.

Age: Just turned 20, so I have about a year until I can play in most live events. Luckily in Florida I can play at a few different venues.

What do you play? NLHE, I prefer live but am now testing online.

At what stakes do you play? I have played a few local tournaments with $50-$100 buy ins and have just started playing online at PokerStars.net. I am still just playing with play money on there to make sure I fully understand the system and will slowly begin tiling once I'm ready to make a push. I will start with .1/.2 and try to play in a few satellite tournaments

How long have you been playing? Legally I have played for two years, most of which has been very casual. I have recently started playing much more competitively and plan on continuing to do so.

Where do you mostly play? My local casino is Club 52 Poker Room at Melbourne Greyhound Park

Why did you come to FTR? A lot of people were recommending either this or 2+2 and I did not like 2+2 after about an hour of use.

Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? While my goals in poker may seem like a far reach, I would like to win a satellite and be able to play in the PCA Bahamas event. Or rather, I would like to play in any major event. My short term goal is to meet an experienced player to help me better understand online play, guide me to smart bank rolling and hold me accountable to a certain amount of hours each week.

Anything else? I have an uncle that went deep into the WSOP Main Event in the 90's and taught me a thing or two, but he is now retired. Also, I am a full time student so my schedule only has about 20-30 extra hours in it.
