I just moved up from 2NL to 4NL, hoping to keep winning so i can move up to 10NL-25NL before years end (not sure if this is realistic to be honest). How long have you been playing? A little over a month now. I started playing with play chips after watching the WSOP on TV and got hooked (what a typical fish, i know). I started playing sng free rolls and won 15 bucks, so i started playing micro stakes, built it up to 80 dollars in 2 weeks and lost it again in 3 days. That's when i discovered FTR. I've built it back to over 100 bucks thanks to you guys. Where do you mostly play? Luvin Poker Why did you come to FTR? I want to get better to be able to handle a little higher stakes and see how far i can go. I'm religious with my study of poker since I found you guys and I'm having a lot more fun playing since. I know my 10.5BB/100 over 20,000 hands isn't to be taken for granted, so I'll take all the advice i can get! Do you have any goals: I want to get my bankroll up to 10NL-25NL by years end, not really sure if I'm rushing things (realistic or too modest?) or how much I've lost out on rake bonuses since I've never deposited a dime. I'll start posting hands to see how bad I've been playing; I can't read hands for shit most of the time, i still spew chips with AA to sets and can't fold straights to turn and river flushes, i call too much, etc.... Hello to you all. My name is Paul. I'm 32. I enjoy playing pot limit omaha hi/lo and no limit texas hold'em tournaments, sit and gos and cash tables. I spend most my time playing online at Cake where I've had most of my success. You've seen me there before and here now as Master P or Raisy Daisy perhaps. I'm very proud to say I started with nothing playing online. It's been challenging and rewarding to build a bankroll from scratch. I recently took a 2nd job as a holdem dealer and I enjoy getting paid to learn to deal and play hold'em. I really enjoy the atmosphere. It's a long way from the home games I grew up with-for better and worse. I hope to take my humble poker savings already withdrawn and learn how to transition my online play and focus my efforts on live play. I'm not sure how much money I need or feel comfortable with as a starting stack for 1-2 for example. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out. |

Hey! I'm a 28-years-old Finnish willing to beat the micro stakes. I'm playing currently 6max 10NL HE and I'm quite confident of my game there. I have 50 000 hands SH HE hands under my belt. Therefore I really consider myself to be a rookie. Still need to play approx another 50 000 hands on my current level before moving up if the gods of pokers allow me. 8) The weaknesses I want to get rid of are * Playing a bit too tight * Bad hand reading on latter streets * Problems identifying the most profitable spots to CBet flop and multi barrel. * Wasting money in weak big sized bluffs on river. * Being result oriented During the last six months I have played 26k hands and have my all-in EV +$180 while results +$50. Running bad lead me "tweaking my game" which lead to awful game for two months and I burned quite too many buy-ins spewing around. That's one aspect in my game more I want to get rid of. What I hope from FTR community is a chance to polish my hand reading skills. I hope I can give back some useful ideas and thoughts for other players in the community. |
